CCOG Sunday Service 5-18-25. When You're Bound But Not Broken: Surviving Life's Fiery Furnace

Editor JD. Episode 153

Send us a text

Our decision to stand firm in faith will determine whether we experience God's deliverance or destruction. The story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego demonstrates that refusing to bow to cultural pressure invites divine presence into our fiery trials.

• The enemy attempts to remove essential elements from the church: communion, prayer, altar ministry, and young people
• King Nebuchadnezzar demanded worship of his golden image when music played, threatening a fiery furnace for dissenters
• Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (teenagers) refused to bow regardless of consequences
• Their "but if not" faith demonstrated commitment to God whether He delivered them or not
• The fourth man appeared in the fire, demonstrating God doesn't always bring us out but comes in with us
• The young men emerged completely unharmed without even smelling like smoke
• Their refusal to bow and willingness to burn resulted in blessing and promotion
• Personal testimonies confirm God's deliverance from addiction and destruction
• Those who worship most passionately are those who have needed God most desperately
• Young believers must hold onto their faith through teenage years to avoid painful detours

Come join us at Cawood Church of God in Harlan, Kentucky.  Sunday School at 10:30 AM, regular service at 11:30 AM, and Wednesday service at 6:30 PM.

Speaker 1:

I felt the flames. I heard death knocking.

Speaker 2:

My hands were tied, my feet were bound, buried alive, covered in ashes. My soul was six feet underground.

Speaker 1:

Then you rolled that stone away. You pulled me from the grave.

Speaker 2:

Praise the Lord. I saw a light and I'll never be the same. I got that freedom.

Speaker 1:

Speaker 2:

I've never hurt so good in all my life. Hey, man, I've slept better this week than I've slept in a long time. War slap out Now. I know how you baseball parents feel. Yeah, that was a dig. Sorry, no pun intended on the dig part. Amen, but I love you, amen.

Speaker 2:

The other night we preached from Daniel, chapter one, how that King Jehoiakim of Judah had been warned that he was going to be overtaken. He had been warned repeatedly if you don't turn back to the God of Abraham, isaac and Jacob, something bad is going to happen, something really bad is going to happen. And I told you whatever night that was my days are running together that God is also sending out a warning to us that if you don't surrender everything, you have to him something bad. I wish I could give you some good news in that, but I can't. Something bad will happen if we don't surrender and heed the warning of the Lord. So King Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, overtook King Jehoiakim of Judah, israel, and started removing vessels out of the house of God. We talked about some of the vessels, some of the things that the enemy was trying to remove from the house of God. We talked about communion. We don't, in my opinion, take communion like we should. Man, this is my body, which was broken. Amen, do this in remembrance of me. This is the blood that I shed for you, that Paige sang about just a while ago. Amen, this was the blood. Take, drink, this is my blood, and as oft as you do it, do it in remembrance of me. I feel like the enemy is trying to take out communion, and not just the act of communion, but communion us and God. I believe the enemy would love for us to stop communing with God. I believe the enemy would love to take prayer out of the church and out of the life of a Christian. Amen.

Speaker 2:

I believe one of the enemy's first tactics is to distract you from being someone who prays. Young people, I'm going to tell you what the older generation before me used to say you talk to the Lord every chance you get, because the first thing the enemy wants to take is your prayer life. But before he can take a prayer life, you've got to have a prayer life, which means you've got to talk to God on a continual basis. Communion with God is prayer and verbal communication with God. God's way of talking back to you is opening up his book and reading it Amen. Listen to me. I want you to know we've got to get behind these young people. We've got to uplift them and pray for them and stand with them and push them and hold them accountable and let them know, amen, that they don't want any part of hell and eternity absent from Jesus. So the enemy would love to take out communion.

Speaker 2:

We talked about how the enemy would love to take out the anointing of oil. Amen, I still believe. Are there any sick among you? Let them call on the elders of the church anointing them with oil and praying the prayer of faith, amen. I think it's time once again that we anoint people with oil to the point, like Aaron, that it ran down his face and down his beard and down to the skirts of his garment. It's time we anoint these people again. I feel like the enemy is trying to remove the altar out of the church. Amen, you know where we come. My God, if these altars could talk this week. Amen.

Speaker 2:

I don't know what you folks have brought to the altar and prayed at the altar and left at the altar, and I'm not going to try to guess what it might be, amen. But I am here to tell you when you come to the altar. You can tell Jesus anything. You can tell Jesus anything. You can tell him anything, maybe things that nobody else knows. What you're going through, nobody else knows what you're battling. Nobody else knows, amen, the things going on in your mind. Nobody else knows what's going on in your heart. Nobody else knows the struggle that you have and the fight that you have. But I'm here to tell you. You can bring it to the altar, you can lay it down, you can get up, you can walk away. Don't pick it, my God, if you left it here, don't pick it back up. We need to reignite the fire on the altar.

Speaker 2:

Then the next thing he tried to do was come, and what did it say? Remove the children. Read it, daniel, chapter one. He tried to remove the children, and four of those children and I tried to remove was Daniel, hananiah, azariah and Mishael. Now, a lot of times when we read the Bible, brother Tim, we like to picture that these guys were 40, 50, 60-year-old. No, they were 15. They were teenagers. Would you look at this? We got a bunch of Daniels, a bunch of Hananiahs, azariahs and Mishael's in the house today.

Speaker 2:

Amen, we open that book and we read it and we automatically think it's older people, adults like us. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. What King Jehoiakim wanted, or what King Nebuchadnezzar wanted, was for the children, the teenagers, the young people to be removed out of the church. So what's he done in the last 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 years? Amen. He's done a good job of creating things to distract their minds away from God and away from the church. Amen. And the devil is still trying that today.

Speaker 2:

Listen to me, mom and dad. Let me preach on you for just a moment, because I'm going to Daniel, chapter three, here in just a moment. Amen, but? But? But let me tell you something, mom and dad if they are living in your house and they're not paying rent, and you're buying the groceries, and you're paying the cell phone bill, and you're buying their clothes and you're putting gas in their car, or you're doing this, or you're doing that, or you're doing another, they don't get a vote when it's time for the house of God. Amen. On Sunday morning, amen. The question in your house should never be are we going to church? No, it should be a given. They should know that on Sunday morning, I'm getting up, I'm brushing my teeth. I'm eating my grits. Amen. I'm getting up, I'm going to church. Mom and dad, they don't get a vote. They don't get a vote in this. You know why. The enemy wants them out of here. He don't want them in here. Somehow or another, we've convinced ourselves that they don't have to be here.

Speaker 2:

In Daniel, chapter 1, nebuchadnezzar had a plan. On May, the 18th 2025, satan has a plan. Let's remove the vessels out of the church. Let's take out holy living. You shouted with me all week. You might as well buckle down, you in for the long ride now. Amen, amen. Let's take out holy living.

Speaker 2:

Let's skip the sanctification part. Young people, let me tell you something After Jesus comes into your heart, there's a process called sanctification part. Young people, let me tell you something After Jesus comes into your heart, there's a process called sanctification. It's a process that goes on in your life. See, I got saved at 16 as well, a 16-year-old. Right there at that spot, right there, jesus came into my heart. I'm now 46, so I just celebrated my 29th birthday in Christ. I've been serving the Lord 29 years, but I got saved at a very young age. Amen.

Speaker 2:

And I'm going to tell you, not long after conversion, brother Jamie, sanctification started in my heart. What is that, pastor? I'll tell you what it is Amen. When you start to go say things you used to say, something tells your heart. Don't say that, oh, we're getting good now. Amen, I'm trying to help you today. Now, amen. When you used to read that smug material, amen, that was on your phone or that was on some periodical that you read or some social media outlet maybe it was somebody you follow and something on the inside of you and you just can't figure out what it is, why you're feeling so down and so bad, I'll tell you what it's called the spirit of God trying to sanctify your eyes and your heart. Amen, trying to teach you, trying to teach you. So sanctification is a process. Here's where the rubber meets the road.

Speaker 2:

When I got saved, braden Clay, when I got saved, there was nobody my age serving the Lord. My best friends were 50 and 60. I felt like my best friends were the nursing home, amen. But you know what I had a made up mind. Some of my friends turned their backs on me, and it wasn't that they really I probably shouldn't say it that way they didn't turn their backs on me, it's just we didn't live the same life anymore. And it wasn't that I was any better or I was this and they were that. It wasn't anything like that. But there was a war taking place between the spirit that lived in me and the spirit that lived in them, amen.

Speaker 2:

When they were out partying and doing their thing and I was trying just to make it to heaven, amen, I wanted to go to church. You see, when I got saved, I wanted to go. Sunday night, monday night, tuesday night, amen, I was finding somewhere to go every night because there was a fire on the inside that was kindling and that was bubbling up, amen. And guess what? Twenty-nine years later, that same spirit is still inside. It's still bubbling up on the inside. But the enemy wants you out. Fast forward. 29 years later.

Speaker 2:

I told you this the other night too. It's harder on them than it was on us, because now it's all in the palm of our hand, I believe. I believe that God is raising up prophets to the nations, preachers, amen. Prophets, priests and kings. I believe he's raising up. But then we turn over to Daniel 3. Very, very, very familiar.

Speaker 2:

Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold whose height was three score cubit and breadth thereof six cubits, and he set it up in the plain of Dura in the province of Babylon. Let me tell you what this statue wasn't. This statue wasn't a statue of a false god. Now listen to me. Listen to me, I know. I know attention spans aren't as long as they used to be either, amen. So I'm going to try to get through this really quickly. Nebuchadnezzar set up a statue of himself because he was a narcissist. A narcissist is someone who manipulates your mind and manipulates your emotions to make them seem like the victim in the crises that they created. A narcissist creates the crises and then turns around and plays the part of the victim in the crises so that you'll feel sorry for them and you'll coddle them and you'll make them feel good about their sin. Nebuchadnezzar lacked all the attention. He liked everybody looking at him. He liked everybody worshiping him.

Speaker 2:

Verse 2, let's keep rolling. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the princes and the governors and the captains and the judges and the treasurers and the counselors and the sheriffs and all the rulers of the provinces to come to the dedication of the image which King Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up Verse 3. So he invites all these people to this party. And then the princes and the governors and the captains and the judges and the treasurers and the counselors and the sheriffs and all the rulers of the provinces were gathered together unto the dedication of this image that Nebuchadnezzar king had set up. And they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar king had set up. And they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up Amen, come here, twan and Tim, come here, austin and Kaylee Come, stand with me. So they were all standing before the image. Everybody had gathered, everybody got together, everybody was now surrounded. Scoot, that way we're going to squeal in the speaker that we've already busted once this week Amen.

Speaker 2:

So here, all the people had gathered and they were standing before Nebuchadnezzar and the statue in which he had erected. Then a herald cried aloud To you it is commanded, o people, nations and languages, that at the time you hear the sound of the coronet, the flute, the harp, the sacrament, the psalm street, the dulcimer and all the kinds of music, the psalm street, the dulcimer and all the kinds of music. In other words, when the band starts playing, fall down and worship the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up. Amen. So here we've got all the people. You all represent all the people, and this command went out that when the music starts playing, you start bowing to this image, and whosoever falleth not down and worshipeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning, fiery furnace. In other words, if you don't bow, you're gonna burn. That's what the devil wants you to think, and that's what the devil wants you to think. If you don't bow to government, if you don't bow to culture, if you don't bow to cancel culture, if you don't bow to the woke agenda, if you don't bow to the gender confusion, if you don't bow to the abortion agenda, if you don't bow to the gender confusion, if you don't bow to the abortion agenda, if you don't bow to the homosexual agenda, if you don't bow to this agenda and that agenda and this agenda and that agenda, we're going to throw you into the fire. I got news I think there's some crazy people in K-wood today that says I'm not bowing to abortion, I'm not bowing to homosexuality, I'm not bowing to abortion, I'm not bowing to homosexuality, I'm not bowing to the culture, I'm not bowing to the woke agenda, I'm not bowing. Amen. But they pressure you.

Speaker 2:

Listen, mom and dad, daniel, hananiah, azariah and Mishael those were their God-given names, that every time their mama called their name, the name of God spread through the land. Daniel had God in his name. So every time Daniel's name was mentioned, god was spread through the. I feel the Holy Ghost right now. Mishael had God in his name, in the meaning of his name, and every time Mishael's name was mentioned, God was spread throughout the land. Azariah every time Azariah's name was called by his mama, god was spread throughout the land. Mishael every time Mishael's name was mentioned, god was in it and it spread across the land. So the king said we can't be having God's name spread across Babylon, so we're going to give them Babylonian names. Told you that the other night too.

Speaker 2:

The enemy wants to assign names to you all. Depression, anxiety, fear, not just them, y'all, y'all ain't past it. Anxiety, fear, not just them. Y'all. Y'all ain't past it. Y'all ain't above it. The enemy wants to tag those labels on you.

Speaker 2:

Sick, some people. You're so sick you've made yourself sick. You've spoke sickness right up on yourself. Amen, if we'd quit talking about how sick we are and talking about how good God is. Listen to me. Amen, if we'd quit talking about how sick we are and talking about how good God is. No, no, no, listen to me. No, preacher, I'm sick. I'm not downplaying your sickness, amen.

Speaker 2:

But we either believe he can or we don't think he can. It's one or the other. Amen, he is the healer. We can't believe God when it's convenient and not believe God when it's hard and tough and difficult. Amen, no, no, we either believe it or we don't. So he wants to put labels on you. I'm never going to be good enough. I can't prophesy. That was for. Did you ever think to try? Did you ever think to fast and pray and move closer to God and see just what he will do in you? So he wants to put names and tags on you that your friends will. Will will. That's how they're going to associate with you.

Speaker 2:

Therefore, at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the corne, the flute, the harp, the sack, but the psalm string and all the kinds of music, all the people, all the nations, the flute, the harp, the sack, but the psalm string and all the kinds of music, all the people, all the nations, all the language, they fell down and they worshiped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up, verse 8. Wherefore, at that time certain Chaldeans came near and accused the Jews Keep going. They spake and said to the king Nebuchadnezzar, o king, live forever. Thou, o king, hast made a decree that every man that shall hear the sound of the music I'm not going to go through all those again shall fall down and worship the golden image, number 11,. And whosoever falleth not down and worshipeth, that should be cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. 12. Amen, that should be cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Twelve Amen. He said there are certain Jews whom thou has set over the affairs of the provinces of Babylon Shadrach, meshach and Abednego. Shadrach, meshach and Abednego, those are Babylonian names that were given to Hananiah, azariah and Mishael Because the enemy changed the God-given name to a name that was illegitimate. Let me say that again God wants to change your God-given calling to something that is carnal and of this world.

Speaker 2:

You may be the best singer in the world, but you're first called to be a Christian. You may be the best kickball player it's the end of the year, it's like they're making sports up at school. You know what I'm saying. You may be the best kickball player in the world, but you're first called to be a Christian. You may be the best mathematician not me. Now. I can diagram a sentence and y'all look for some of y'all gonna look at me like I'm speaking Chinese to you but I can't. I can diagram you a sentence, but I can't do trigonometry. I told you already letters don't belong in math ever Okay. But you may be the best mathematician in the world, but you've been called to be a Christian first. You see where I'm going with it. You may be the best basketball player in the world, but you've been called to be a Christian. You may be the best home run hitter in the world, but you've been called to be a Christian. Some of you girls may be cheerleaders and can do them little twirly twirls all the way down the court and back, but you've first been called to be a Christian.

Speaker 2:

You see, we are not called to bow to the culture and we got a lot of people bowing to the culture. Every time the culture's music starts playing, they start bowing. I'm preaching better than you are, and we're having church tomorrow at 6. Amen, king. There's three guys One, two, three Either one of you over here. Stand behind them, stand behind them, stand behind them, stand behind them. The music starts playing, all these started bowing. Y'all don't care, you're not really bowing, you're playing along Bow, bow, bow, bow, bow, bow. Maybe the music wasn't loud enough and these three boneheads didn't hear it.

Speaker 2:

These represent the culture that bows to the enemy's songs, the culture that bows to the enemy's songs. They bow to the culture in which we live, and this is a large majority of the world, then and now. But then you had three stubborn young people. I got two.

Speaker 2:

These men, o king, they've not listened to what you said. I'm just reading it right there. They serve not your gods, they don't worship your image, which you have set up. Next verse Then Nebuchadnezzar was mad and furious and he commanded Shadrach, meshach and Abednego. And he commanded to bring Shadrach, meshach and Abednego. Come here, stand right there, you on trial. Now, boys, stand up there on the platform, take one step up, take one step up, take one step up. So now they've been called out because they refuse to bow to the world. Then they brought these men before the king 14. Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them Is it true? Do you not serve my gods and do you not worship the image which I have set up? Now, if you be ready that at what time you hear the sound of the music, you fall down and worship the image which I made.

Speaker 2:

Turn the organ on. I love a good organ. I'm not shouting. I ain't going to bow. I'm going to shout. I never was a dancer, but I'm about to be. Cut it, cut it. You ain't bowing. They bowing why? I'm going to give you one more. I'm going to give you another chance. You didn't bow. All right, snotty-nosed brats, I'm going to give you one more chance, one more chance. You better be bowing. You don't worship, you don't worship. So at this time, I'm left no choice but to throw you into the burning fiery furnace.

Speaker 2:

Who, oh Nebuchadnezzar, probably should have just stopped there, because now he's getting ready to ask a loaded question. You may know what a loaded question is. It's a question that you may not want the answer to because up until verse 15, the word gods listen, here's your teachable moment. The word gods up to verse 15 was a lowercase g, which means a generic, general God, the God of the culture, the God of this, the God of that, the God of the other. But the king is now referring, wanting to know. See that word God, it's a capitalized g. That's a proper noun. Here's an English lesson. You're welcome. Amen, I'll send you a bill in the mail.

Speaker 2:

That's a big G, which means it is a proper noun, which means we're not talking about some generic God, some God of the moon, stars and sky, some God of the sun, some God of this and some God of that, god of money and God of that. We, god of that. We're talking about a God. We're talking about a specific God. We're talking about Jehovah God. We're talking about the one and only true and living.

Speaker 2:

We're now talking about God. Who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands? Oh, he's now. He's now getting all big and bad. Who's this God that you serve? Oh, he's now getting all big and bad. Who's this God that you serve that's big enough to deliver you out of my hand?

Speaker 2:

Shadrach, meshach and Abednego. Here's what I like. There wasn't a spokesperson, sister Tab. It says that they all answered the king. Shadrach, meshach and Abednego said to the king oh, nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God, whom we serve?

Speaker 2:

You didn't get that part. You see, a lot of times we just leave out that second part and we just say our God. No, they said our God, whom we serve. They wanted him to know. We don't serve you, we don't serve your God. We don't serve your statue. We don't serve your culture. We don't serve your region. We don't serve your statue, we don't serve your culture. We don't serve your region. We don't serve your city. There is a one God that we serve and he is able to deliver us out of the hand of the burning fiery furnace. They were like king. Since you asked, let me tell you a little bit about my God. He is able. Is that what it says? He is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace and he will somebody say he will to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace and he will.

Speaker 2:

Somebody say he will. I don't think you got that Because they some of you. You feel like you're in a burning fiery furnace. You feel like your world is crumbling around you. You feel like everything is falling apart. I came to tell you today tell the devil, the God whom I serve is able and he will. By the way, I heard a little birdie told me that in lunch the other day a couple of these young people asked one of the principals for the microphone in the lunchroom. I'll just go ahead and tell you, even I wouldn't have done that, I'd have been scared Asked for the microphone to invite everybody in that lunchroom to revival.

Speaker 2:

Revival News travels guys. And you go to school tomorrow acting like you've been in revival and it'll get on somebody else. He will, he will. Plan A he will deliver us out of thine hand, o King. Oh, my goodness, you mean there's a plan B, verse 18.

Speaker 2:

Three words we all shout about he will, we all rejoice about he will. We all get tore up from the floor up about he will. But I don't know that anybody in the room is prepared for the next three words. But if not, here's where I want to preach to you all, first of all. He is able, and I'm preaching to all of you too. He is able and I believe he will. Amen. But what you got to be ready for is the but if not. But what you got to be ready for is the but if not, because there's where a lot of people tuck tail and run and they run back to their old ways and they run back to sinful living and they run back to worshiping the devil and they run back to living like the world and they run back to sin, because there was a time that a but if not showed up and they wasn't ready for it. What if wanted? What if not? But if not, what if the doctor said you got two weeks to live? You're believing that he will, and there's a bunch of people sitting in this room right now that you are a testimony of. He will and he did. There's some of you no, I'm not even going to say some of you, there's all of us that if the devil had his way, we'd already be in the grave, we'd already be six feet under, we'd already be dead. But God showed up because he will and he did. Amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen. Oh yes, he will, yes, he will, yes, he will. Our God is able, our God is able, our God is able and he will. But if not, come here, boys Y'all are in the furnace now but if not, let it be known unto thee, o king, we will not serve your gods and we will not worship your image and we will not bow to your music. You be it known right now, our God is able and he will. But even if he doesn't, we're not worshiping you, we're not glorifying you, we're not recognizing you. Amen, we're done with you. You meant us harm, you meant us evil, you meant for us to die. And I'm here to tell you I'm not serving you, I'm not recognizing you. I'm only letting God know I serve him and him alone. If not, be it known unto you, oh Satan, that we will not serve you, we will not worship you, you, we will not worship you.

Speaker 2:

Next Then was Nebuchadnezzar madder than a hornet. That's the John Carter version, the JCV and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, meshach and Abednego. Therefore, he spake and commanded that they should heat the furnace seven times more that it was wont to be heated. You've made me so mad because of your defiance of my authority, that not only are we throwing you in, we're going to turn up the hate Next. And he commanded that the most mighty men that were in his army bind Tyler, give me your tie.

Speaker 2:

Anybody else wearing a tie today I need to buy, danny boy, I might give them back to you. Boys, it depends on how it looks on me. Can I undo it all together? I'll tie it back for you. There's a? Yeah, it's called a. You're like me. You got a homemade tie tack. Can I undo it all together? I'll tie it back for you. There's a? Yeah, it's called a. You're like me. You got a homemade tie tack. It's called a safety pin. Brother Jamie, will you hold this tie tack? Tie it all in there. Be careful, man. I don't even have a tie tack. I just let it go, boys. Amen, tyler, where's yours? So stick your arms out here.

Speaker 3:

I probably need Travis. Even doing that, I'm not even doing that.

Speaker 2:

I'm not even doing that. I'm not even doing that. I'm not even doing that. I'm not even doing that. I'm not even doing that. I'm not even doing that.

Speaker 3:

I'm not even doing that. I'm not even doing that. I'm not even doing that. I'm not even doing that. I'm not even doing that, I'm not even doing that.

Speaker 2:

I. So he commanded his biggest and his strongest warrior Come here To tie him up. Hold on just a second, tie him up, cast him into the furnace. This is the cost of living for God. Next, then, these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, their hats, their garments and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Look here Next, therefore, because the king's commandment was urgent and the furnace exceeding hot, seven times hotter, the flame was so hot that the men who threw in Shadrach, meshach and Abednego were slew, were felled dead, felled dead. It's so hot. The people that threw them in felled dead. Imagine being in there if the ones who threw them in fell down because of the heat and these three, shadrach, meshach and Abednego, fell down, bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

Speaker 2:

Then Nebuchadnezzar, the king, was astonished and rose up in haste and spake and said unto the counselors Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? Because the king came and looked in on them to watch them burn, baby burn. They're going to learn once and for all that they're going to bow. Listen to me, people, satan wants you to know that he's going to make it so hard on you that you're going to bow or burn. Let me tell you, if you bow, you burn. The world wants you to think if you don't bow, you're going to burn. I'm telling you, if you do bow, you're going to burn. We can't bow, we can't bow, we can't. He looked in astonished, rose in haste and spake and said to his counselor did not? We cast three men bound into the midst of the fire. And they said unto the king, true, oh, king. But somewhere along the line he said I see four men. You see, there was a fourth man who came into the fire. I said there's a fourth man that came into the fire. I said there's a fourth man that came into the fire and loosed them and loosed them. And then they were just come on, just start walking in circle, come on. He said keep walking, just keep walking until I say stop. He said lo, I see four men, they're loose. In other words, god showed up and he untied them. I'm telling you today, you feel bound, you feel like you've been tied down. I came to tell you God is in the fire and he's loosing and untying you. And not only are they loose, amen, they're walking in the midst. They're walking in the midst of the fire. They're not hurt. And the fourth is like the sun, capital S-O-N of God, keep walking.

Speaker 2:

Then King Debuchadnezzar came near to the opening of the burning fiery furnace and said Shadrach, meshach and Abednego, shadrach, meshach and Abednego, you, servants of the Most High God, that's good when the enemy recognizes your God. Young people, you walk up in that school tomorrow. You walk up in that school tomorrow like you serve the most high God. You put your shoulders back, you lift your head and you walk in that place like you serve the most high God. Because the enemy wants to put you in the fire, you go ahead and let him put you in the fire, because it's inside the fire where the fourth man is. I said it's inside the fire where the fourth man is. Had they bowed like this bunch amen the fourth man wouldn't have showed up. But I'm convinced already that the fourth man was in the fire before they were, because God, god doesn't always bring you out of the fire, but he comes inside of it with you. Hallelujah, some of you feel like you're in it, but guess what? The fourth man is there too. The next time you're wondering why God hasn't brought you out, it's because he's waiting on you to invite him in. If I'm in the fire, he might as well come with me, amen. And he walked in as a gentleman and he untied them. He took the ties off their hands, he took the ties off their feet, he took the blindfolds off their eyes, he took the gags out of their mouth. And here they are now In the middle of the fiery furnace, walking around loose, amen, giving praise to God, worshipping God, glorifying God. It's because you're wondering why? Why is it hot? Why is this hard? Why am I in the furnace? It's because God didn't bring you out. He's waiting on you to invite him in. So Nebuchadnezzar came to the opening of the burning fiery furnace Keep walking. And said Shadrach, meshach and Abednego, you, servants of the Most High God, come forth. Abednego, you, servants of the Most High God, come forth and come hither. Then Shadrach, meshach and Abednego came forth out of the fire. Come on, come here, come out of the fire.

Speaker 2:

Fourth man you just kind of disappear into thin air, the princes, the governors and the captains and the king's counselors being gathered together. Did you hear me? God's getting ready to do something in you that everybody's going to see and they're going to know. You didn't hear me. You didn't hear what I just said. God's getting ready to do something in you. I said that. The princes and the governors and the captains and the kings and the counselors and all the people they're going to see you.

Speaker 2:

The hair on their head wasn't even singed. There's no burn places on their coats. You ain't getting me, because there's some of you here today. You feel like your hair's been scorched and your clothes have been torn off. That's what kind of a battle with the devil you feel like you've been in. Anybody know what I'm talking about? Amen. They don't even smell like smoke. So their hair's not singed, their clothes aren't burned and they don't even smell like smoke.

Speaker 2:

Next, next, then King Nebuchadnezzar spake and said Blessed, get ready to play something. Y'all stay right there, get ready to play. So now the king of Babylon has seen what God can do, and the king that threw them in said Blessed be the God. You didn't hear me. Blessed be the God of Shadrach, meshach and Abednego, who hath sent his angel to deliver his servants that trusted in him and have changed the king's work and yielded their bodies that they might not serve nor worship any god except their own. These boys are only serving their God. Now the king says I'm going to make a decree that every people, nation, language which speak anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, meshach and Abednego shall be cut into pieces and their houses shall be made a dunghill, because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.

Speaker 2:

And if that ain't good enough, the king promoted refusal to bow. Hear me now. Hear me now. Refusal to bow and willing to burn brings a blessing. Refusal to bow and willing to burn brings forth a blessing.

Speaker 2:

So here's what I'm saying to you today, everybody in this room. Number one if you're still trying to figure out why God hasn't delivered you out of the fiery furnace, it's because he's still waiting on you to invite him in. Lord, come on in. Little, did you know? He was already there. He was there all the time my grandfather used to sing. He was there all the time, waiting patiently in line. He was there all the time. He was there all the time. But now this world is going to try to make it so hard on you that bowing is easier. Bowing is more convenient. Bowing Will get Things and people off your back. Here's what I'm saying to you today. You've got to decide today. You've got to decide today. I want Jesus More than I want anything in this world. I want Jesus more than I want anything in this world.

Speaker 2:

I look and I see all these young people. I see some of our elders in the house today and I say that with such honor, I say that with honor to our elders of the church, I say that with honor, we honor you, we thank God for you. I look at some of you. Who the enemy? Let's just be real today. Can we, the enemy, put you on a path of addiction? Is that alright to say?

Speaker 2:

Was there some people in this room that you were on the path of addiction and the enemy tried to destroy everything about you? There's some of you. You've looked in the mirror and you've wondered how. And the enemy tried to destroy everything about you. There are some of you you've looked in the mirror and you've wondered how you are even here. Come on. There are some of you that Narcan had to bring you back.

Speaker 2:

I got news for you. It might, but God wasn't through with you. We can call it Narcan or we can call it he can and he will and he did, because had it not been for he can, you'd be gone. And you even look in the mirror today and you're like I don't know how and you've still got physical scars. But I got news. God doesn't see your physical scars. God sees what he fearfully and wonderfully made in his likeness and in his image and you have that scar because he wanted you to have that scar, because he likes you better. With that scar, amen. Those scars are to remind you this is what he did, amen, amen, so, so, so, if you're here and you're living and you're breathing and you shouldn't be, maybe they've even had to shock your heart back into rhythm or back into working.

Speaker 2:

Maybe you was on life support, on a ventilator, I don't know, but for some reason you're still here. I can tell you what the reason is, and here's what I, here's what I love about the ones that have that God has delivered. I'm not calling you in recovery, I'm calling you set free, delivered, delivered. If the son therefore hath made you free, you are free, indeed, amen. You're not in recovery, you are set free. And here's what I love about your worship.

Speaker 2:

I don't know if anybody's noticed or not, but Sister Cat comes to the altar every single solitary service, and I'm not doing it to embarrass her, but you know why she does that? Because she knows that if Satan would have had his way, she would be gone. When I see Danny behind the wheel of that bus I coach Danny and Ball it's a wonder he's even here. But when I see him driving that bus and bringing people into the house of God, when I see Kaylee and Laura twirling around up here acting a fool, when I see Shonda telling folk how that she was given up to die on a hospital gurney, I no longer sit and wonder why they worship the way they do. I no longer sit and wonder why they worship the way they do, because your worship tells you where you've been.

Speaker 2:

Those who worship a little has only needed God a little. Is that all right, good? Those who worship a lot have needed God a lot, and we're trying to save you some heartache and we're trying to save you some trouble Because there's gateways that want to lead you into a very, very dark place. Listen to me, young people the devil wants to lead you to a very dark place, but God brought you here this week to bring you out. To bring you out. Amen, amen, come here, come here. This is what revival is called. It's called getting out of your comfort zone. Come on.

Speaker 3:

Bible's called. It's called getting out of your comfort zone. Come on, okay, I've literally went home for three nights, every night that I see you guys up here. I've went home and I've told Danny man, I should have said what I need to say. I should have said what I need to say. So I am not leaving here today without saying what I have to say. I'm 31. So that's probably old to y'all, but to me.

Speaker 3:

I look at you guys and there's a good four or five teenagers. That was a teenager when I was a teenager and the same situation happened, except a little bit less. Y'all are a lot more than we were, but there was about ten of us that came right to this church as teenagers and we prayed for each other, we worshipped, we took Trish's car and we picked up anybody that we could and brought them to church and we had revival. But you know what happened? The revival ended and we went back to high school, and high school for me, when I look back, high school ended up being a blur. Of course, I turned my back on God. I was a cheerleader, I wanted to be popular. I had boys that led me to do things that I didn't want to do so.

Speaker 3:

I am encouraging you guys Listen to him, stand on his word. Don't look. Don't end up being 30 years old going through a nasty divorce that God never even put you in their place. If somebody tells you to do something that you know is against what God is telling you to do, walk away. Don't be 30 years old having to figure it out again, because I'm just now having to figure it out. We're on the same place. I've been going to church for two years and I'm realizing if I would have held on to what God wanted me to do at 16, it's untelling where I'd be now. So you guys, hang on to him.

Speaker 2:

We kind of know what we're talking about. It leads to destruction and it leads to death. Stand all over the house. It's bad when Austin has to help you up.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you're good. I felt the flames. I heard death knocking.

Speaker 2:

My hands were tied, my feet were bound, buried alive, covered in ashes. My soul was six feet underground.

Speaker 1:
