CCOG Sunday Morning Service 6-22-25. Return, Repent, Remove, Receive: The Revival Pattern

Editor: JD. Episode 162

Send us a text

Revival isn't about changing our methodology or worship style but experiencing a transformative encounter with God through authentic spiritual hunger. The biblical pattern for genuine revival involves returning to the altar, repenting completely, removing all hindrances, and positioning ourselves to receive from God.

• Revival is not mere change in philosophy, methodology, or worship style
• Recounting past revivals doesn't automatically create present revival
• Every revival in the Old Testament follows the pattern: return, repent, remove, receive
• The altar should be viewed as a bench of refuge, not a bench of shame
• True repentance combines sorrow with determination to change
• We must remove anything that hinders a wholehearted relationship with God
• Our trials may not be punishment but opportunities for God to display His glory
• The Bible provides more accurate information about current events than news networks
• God is seeking those who are desperate and hungry for His presence

If you want to support our Peru missions project, we're accepting donations to help build a church facility. $2,200 will help construct what they consider a multi-million dollar facility to them - walls and a roof where they can gather to worship.

Speaker 1:

Let it shine, let it shine, oh, this little light of mine.

Speaker 3:

I'm gonna let it shine. Praise God. Praise God. Good to see you, brother. Praise God, glory.

Speaker 3:

I want to know who brought in a Hammond B3 organ. Y'all don't want none. Thank you, jesus. We're in revival. We want to welcome you. If this is your first time to revival, praise the Lord. I'm just going to go ahead and call it.

Speaker 3:

I believe we're going to be in a constant state of revival till the Lord comes, and I don't believe that's going to be very long. Can't you just feel something moving? Come on, amen. I believe any day now the Lord is returning and I want to say, before I go any further, that somebody came up to me. I hate Tammy Jean's not here today, but for you Peru folk, somebody walked up to me today and handed me $500 in cash. It costs $2,200 to build what to them would be considered to us a multi-million dollar facility. They just want walls and a roof to gather in, to have church. We can't get them here in an air conditioner and a padded pew. But I'll tell you what you get the power of the Holy Ghost moving and they'll come from the north, east, south and west to get in on what God has for his people. I shared with you the other night. You can be seated if you want to. I'm having a good time.

Speaker 3:

Christian asked me this morning. He said where's everybody at? I said don't care, amen. If you're born again, you know what time it starts, you know where we're located. If you're a sinner, we'll come find you. We'll come fight devils for you, amen. But if you're a child of God, we're not going to pet you and coddle you and pat on you. We're going to love you. But you've got to want this. You've got to want this. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. I told my wife the other day. This August will make 11 years since the great merge took place. The Bible calls the return of the Lord the great and terrible day. Great for some, terrible for others. We still call the merge the great and terrible merge. It was great for some, terrible for others. We still call the merge the great and terrible merge. It was great for some and terrible for others. Amen, it's all. It's still known throughout the state of Kentucky and the church of God circle for the merge that took place. And it's been 11 years.

Speaker 3:

And I told my wife the other day. I said I have never been more happy and excited with the group of people God has given us to pastor and to lead in all my years, and I mean that from my heart. I love you and you are my family and I want to say thank you. My mom's older sister, joyce. She, sent a card in the mail this week on behalf of her and Janice and Alice and Lara Jean and said thank you so much for the food and everything you did, and I meant to bring that card with me and set it out there and I will, but they wanted me to extend their gratitude and to thank you for all that you did during the time of the passing of Martha Lou, and so thank you for that.

Speaker 3:

We are experiencing something here that really it's taken me aback. I want to handle it with honor. I want to handle it with honor and I want to handle it with respect, because God has chosen us to host a move from heaven. We've seen a lot of things happen Now. We saw a lot of souls saved that first three weeks and I believe we're going to continue to see souls saved. We're going to take in new members of the church today, here, in just a little bit, and before we do that, jc before the end.

Speaker 3:

On my shelf in my office are a stack of the we Believe maroon booklets. Bring me a handful of those. But I shared with you. I tried my best to get through the message the best I could. But I, just how many of you know, we have to follow the leading of the Lord and we can't get ahead of Him and we can't lag behind Him. I should have been a songwriter. You must fight, be brave against all evil, never run or neither lag behind. If you will win for God and the right, you must keep on the firing line.

Speaker 3:

I sat down at my piano the other day at home. Leanne and Leah Kate have been gone to ramp in Hamilton, alabama. They're on their way home now. Them and Monica and Maddie be praying for their travels. But I went in there and I didn't know. I thought JC was still asleep, must have woke him up. But I sat down at the piano and I just started singing to myself.

Speaker 3:

Long years ago when, out in sin, I had no hope, no peace within, down on my knees in agony, I prayed to Jesus and he gladly set me free. I never shall forget the day, amen. I never shall forget the day when Jesus rolled my burdens away. I will never forget the day I knelt right here and Jesus came into my heart. Then I started thinking about that old song. To be quite honest with you, I think Hank Williams Senior wrote it said something got a hold of me. I went there to fight, but oh my, that night God certainly got a hold of me. I'm glad he got a hold of me.

Speaker 3:

How about you? I'm glad that revival is still stirring in the land. Yes, I believe that there will be a great falling away and yes, I believe that there will be a famine, not for bread or water, but for the reading and the hearing and the preaching and the declaring of God's word. Yes, I believe, amen, that the love of many will wax cold. And yes, I believe there will be a lot of people that are going to miss out on this great thing. But I also believe that in the last days, saith God, I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh. Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy.

Speaker 3:

I shared with you what revival is not. I shared two of those things with you and I hope to share the third one today. This coming Friday night, lord willing, I'll be preaching a revival at West Liberty Church of God and probably going to be preaching this same thing to them, because every fall of the year and I know we're in the summer, but every fall of the year I get invited to a few places to preach homecoming services. And I'm not going to lie to you, brother Steve God gives me a message for the season and I preach it everywhere I go, unless he changes me, of course, and I'm open to that. Amen. So if you listen on YouTube or Facebook and you hear the same thing twice, the only thing I can tell you is you needed to hear it again. If you listen to it a third time, that means you really hardheaded. You needed to hear it a third time. Amen. Eventually you'll stop listening to me.

Speaker 3:

But revival the first thing I told you that revival is not. Revival is not mere change. To understand what authentic revival is, we must first establish what it is not. It is not a change in your philosophy. It is not a change in your methodology. It is not a change in your worship style. I don't care if you read the words off the screen or in the little red book in your hand. That doesn't matter to me. Style doesn't matter. We should be here to worship God in spirit and in truth, no matter what speed of the song, no matter if it's a long, drawn out, twangy country sounding song or if it repeats itself over and over and over. We're not worshiping the singer, we're not worshiping the lyrics, we're worshiping God and I refuse to get caught up in style. It's not a change in style, amen. It's not a change in moving furniture from here to there, amen.

Speaker 3:

I read to you a quote by Dr Lamar Vest, the former general overseer of our great movement. Several years ago he said revival is more than church growth. It's more than previous activities. It's more than a surface change in structure. It's more than moving furniture around and rearranging the decor. Some churches have altered the format of their worship services. They've replaced a pulpit with a stool. They've eliminated Sunday school and called it renewal. None of that worship services. They've replaced a pulpit with a stool. They've eliminated Sunday school and called it renewal. None of that is revival.

Speaker 3:

Then I told you about how David brought the ark. He employed some new carts and some singers and the best musicians and the strongest oxen, and he employed new carts and he employed the greatest dancers. Amen. The grand occasion had the look of revival. It had the publicity to draw a crowd. Amen.

Speaker 3:

Let me tell you something Just because it looks like revival and sounds like revival and draws the crowd of revival, if it doesn't change you, it's not revival. It's not revival. It's not revival. And we know that this revival stopped with the first bump in the road. You cannot quit the first time the devil says boo. If you quit the first time, the devil says boo, I question what you had in the first place. This is not an emotional high. This is not a shimmy and a shake Boo. I question what you had in the first place. This is not an emotional high. This is not a shimmy and a shake. This is not a quiver and a quake. This is a relationship with God. This is having it deep down in your heart and in your soul and serving Him at all times.

Speaker 3:

Revival is not just change. I told you the other night that it can be a good thing, but not a God thing. He had enlisted a method of moving the ark by observing the practices of the Philistines. We cannot observe, we cannot adopt the practices of the culture to win the culture. It still takes, just metaphorically speaking. Again, I'm not talking about songs on a board or in a book or on a wall or on a TV screen or whatever. It still takes these things right here to have revival. You got to sing the songs of Zion. You got to preach Jesus and him crucified. That brings revival. We cannot adopt the culture to win the culture. Please hear me right now we are not going to be sipping saints and cussing Christians.

Speaker 3:

I still believe in sanctification. I still believe that when God saves you, you will come out from among the world and be a separate people. You'll change the way you talk, you'll change the way you look, you'll change the places you go. Everything will change. So in my at-arms, reach at all times, I've got a Bible and a songbook in case I want to sing or preach man. I hope to run people off when they see me coming.

Speaker 3:

They say here comes this singing preacher man. Never will anything brought in by anything. Let me say that again. Never, somebody say never, never will anything brought in by anything other than God produce results. You can bring in the best preacher Money can buy. You can bring in the best preacher Money can pie. You can bring in a worship team that is sounding like an orchestra. But lest you have the spirit of the living God you don't get revival.

Speaker 3:

Revival is not just you know what. Let's change things up a little bit. That ain't revival. That's called you bored, find something to do. Pray, lift up your heads. Your redemption draws nigh. Amen. You better stay off social media next few days or you'll find yourself preaching I didn't vote for war, I'm not getting political on you and I don't care the bomb here, bomb there, bomb everywhere.

Speaker 3:

What I'm saying is Genesis 12 and 3 says I will bless them. Who bless you? Talking to Israel, somebody say Israel Concerning Israel, genesis 12, 3. Look it up for yourself. I will bless them. That bless you. I will curse them. That curse you. I'm telling you right now we better defend Israel, we better stand with Israel, we better stand up for Israel, because there are major biblical ramifications when we turn our backs on God's chosen people. I will bless them. Who bless you? I do not want to be cursed. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. Amen, not change. Pray, lord. Amen, not change. Pray, pray, pray, my God. I hope you prayed today. Read your Bible. Don't just leave If the preacher's the only Bible you get. You're not getting enough.

Speaker 3:

Revival is not just change. Revival is not recounting the past. Boy, I told you, we, church of God folk, if we can't do nothing, we can talk about how it used to be. You know what's funny? I was sitting right there, standing right there the other night, and I forget who it was, but they brought me you don't know what they brought me. Somebody brought me a bobby pin. So on my shelf in my office are remnants of revival. What are they? Preacher, tambourine jingles and bobby pins. Amen, that's when you know you've had church. Amen. Oh, we can talk about the past. Oh, I wish I had a dollar for every person that's asked me what happened to that tree on the back wall. Ask me, no questions, I'll tell you. No lies, no, it's here. I promise it's on the grounds. I promise we're good at the past. We're getting ready to celebrate a hundred years of soul saving. One hundred years. If the Lord tarries to January of soul saving One hundred years, if the Lord tarries to January of 2026, we will celebrate a hundred years.

Speaker 3:

I've spoken to former pastors as far back as Brother Michael Brantley just last week. Brother Brantley was here from 1977 to 1979. When Brother and Sister Brantley left Kaywood. They went to Crescent Springs where they have been since. For 46 years they have pastored the church. They left here to go pastor. I've talked to them about coming back maybe sometime and preaching Amen, because he's getting up in years. Amen, but the man's still got the fire. I've heard him preach he's still got the fire. I've heard him preach he's still got the fire. You know why you don't ever retire from this. I don't care if you're 90. I don't care if you're 100. When he calls you and he puts that fire in the pit of your belly, it's there until you die. Well, you know, when you retire, when they put your body in the cold ground, that's when it's over.

Speaker 3:

We're good at recalling the past. Man, I got the old. I should have brought it out here, since we're taking in members today. I got the original membership book of this church. Now it looks original, it smells original, amen. But I look through that book and I see names. Now it looks original, it smells original, amen. But I look through that book and I see names and I'm like man. I miss her, I miss him Because we're good at recounting the past.

Speaker 3:

Nobody does the past like a Pentecostal Amen. Because of our blessed heritage and our Pentecostal pedigree. We are experts in drawing up legendary personalities. Amen, we're calling up Oral Roberts. We're calling up RW Schambach, we're calling up Ray H Hughes, we're calling up Howard Farmer and Freeman Barton. Amen, we're calling up all these old men of old. And we're good at calling them up. Oh, and we're real good at reliving something that has already happened Amen. You know what else we're good at? Not only are we good at drawing up former personalities, but we can draw up locations.

Speaker 3:

We talk about the upper room. We talk about the sheriff's schoolhouse. We talk about Barney Creek. We talk about Azusa Street. We talk about Pensacola in hopes to recreate amen how his spirit was in that day. But I got news for you it can happen in Kaywood. It can happen in Kaywood, kentucky, and I'm ready. And, as the young people say, I'm here for it. I'm here for it. We ought to get to the upper room blindfolded. The Sherer Schoolhouse, barney Creek, revival, azusa Street Look them up. If you don't believe me, look them up. Pensacola there's still remnants of revival in Pensacola. I think that happened in the late 90s to early 2000s, maybe mid-90s. It went on for years.

Speaker 3:

What's to say that, if we will be obedient, that it can't happen right here. Not dedication, not faithfulness. Hungry and thirsty for righteousness and for a move of God. You know why you've not had personal revival. You're not hungry enough and you know why had personal revival. You're not hungry enough, and you know why you're hungry enough. You're not desperate enough, and you know why you're not desperate enough. You've never been put in a situation.

Speaker 3:

I need everybody in this room right now to think back of a time that you needed God and only God. Nobody else could help you. The contacts in your phone couldn't help you. The people at the courthouse couldn't help you. The people in the lawyer's office couldn't help you Only God. Even the preacher couldn't help you, only God. That's what you need to revert back to and get back to where you were hungry and desperate and thirsty for, because if you don't recall it and relive it and do it over, god might put you there again. How would you like another round around that mountain? Anybody, anybody want to go around that mountain of persecution again? Anybody want to go around that mountain of Verda Hotel again? Anybody want to go around that mountain of trials and tribulations again? Then you better remember.

Speaker 2:

And you better get hungry again.

Speaker 3:

Oh God, wouldn't do that to me. You've not read Revelation, chapter 2, the church at Ephesus? Oh God, wouldn't do that to me. You've not read Revelation, chapter 2, the church at Ephesus. Y'all remember that one. Go read it when you get home. It's not part of my message today.

Speaker 3:

He said I know you do this well A while ago. What did I say? There's a difference in a good thing and a there's a difference in a good thing. God gave the church at Ephesus six good things. They did Just using you for an example. You sit here, I'll use you.

Speaker 3:

I'm going to try to think of six good things about you. Your Aunt Kim's behind me She'll help me and your cousin Tyler's behind I'm surrounded by a cloud of witnesses. I better say good things. You're a good guy. No, you're a good teacher. You're a good coach. You're good at opening the service, good friend. Well, we'll talk later. I'm kidding. He is Good friend, he's a good servant and he's no doubt a good son. Those are good things.

Speaker 3:

But then God comes and says but I have somewhat against you. You're doing all these good things, but this one thing cancels out all the good things. You may be sitting here today. I'm a good dad, I'm a good papa, I'm a good mom, I'm a good mamaw, I'm a good teacher, I'm a good coach, I'm a good this, I'm a good that. But does he have somewhat against you?

Speaker 3:

You, because you've left your first, your what, your what. You didn't just leave your love, you left your first love. It don't mean you don't love me anymore. God's not saying you don't love me anymore. God's saying you don't love me first. And God cannot lie, god cannot act contrary to His Word, and God cannot be second, you've left your first love. So here's what I want you to do.

Speaker 3:

First step find where you have fallen. I don't care if you have to crawl through the mud, through the trees, through the branches, through the shrubber, I don't care if you've got to get on your knees, climb the highest mountain, go through the driest desert. You better find where you've fallen and after you have remembered, you need to repent. And after you remember, and after you repent, and after you repent, he said redo. Do your first works over.

Speaker 3:

Oh, preacher, I used to pray an hour a day, used to. There's your problem You're a big old fat used to. You need to quit being a eustah and you need to redo your first works over again. If you prayed for an hour, you need to pray for an hour again. I run out of things to say. I'll give you something to say Jesus, jesus, jesus, jesus, at the name of Jesus, at the name of Jesus, say his name over. So find where you've fallen and if you're not as on fire and as hungry as you used to be, you have fallen. Preacher you're supposed to be. You have fallen. Preacher. You're supposed to be blessing me today.

Speaker 3:

I'm trying to get you to go when this trumpet sounds. Oh, anytime. Don't let him leave you sitting at the desk. Don't let him leave you standing in the court. Don't let him leave you standing in the mall. Don't let him leave you Standing in the court. Don't let him leave you Standing in the mall. Don't let him leave you Sitting in the recliner. Be ready and watching.

Speaker 3:

Man, I tell you what I'm going somewhere else to preach this Boone. When are you going to bring that woman back? Thank you, thank you. Just so you know. She wanted to whip some of you. She said these people don't even know what they got. Revival is not change. Revival is not calling up the past. I love the past. I love my grandparents. I love my Sunday school teacher.

Speaker 3:

Listen, we were in a. What was I in yesterday when I sent you those pictures Guitar center. Y'all ever been in a guitar center? I never felt more like Vestal Goodman and Slash in the same breath. I never felt like I could sing God, walk the Dark Hills and Highway to you Know when, all in the same breath. I never felt like I could sing God, walk the Dark Hills and Highway to you Know when, all in the same breath. I sent Tyler a picture. I wish I had it so I could show it to you.

Speaker 3:

I said you know why God won't let me play the guitar? I said because I'd want this. You can only imagine it was one of that guy from Kies that has that real long tongue. It was one like that. That's what I'd be up there playing. And what's so funny? Jasey looked at me and said what are you doing? I said take a picture of that guitar right there, because that's the one I'd be playing if I played the guitar. He said that's the one I want. You ain't going to be playing the guitar either, boy. Then I went in there and that's the one I want. You ain't going to be playing the guitar either, boy. Then I went in there and I started playing that piano, that keyboard.

Speaker 3:

Y'all ever been in a guitar center? Again, it goes from gothic to holiness in 1.5 seconds. I started playing Amazing Grace on that thing in the spirit of the Lord. I thought, oh God, in this guitar center in Knoxville, tennessee. Hey man, strike one there in Tennessee. I pray God that the anointing of your spirit in this song, amazing Grace, how sweet the sound.

Speaker 3:

It saved a wretch like me. It saved a wretch like it saved a wretch like me. It saved a wretch like you. It saved a wretch like you. You might not think you was a wretch baby, but you was a poor, pitiful wretch. And it saved a wretch like we. I know you think you came out of the birthing canal speaking in tongues, but you once were lost. But now I'm found. I was blind, but now I see.

Speaker 3:

The upper room was not to be a place of history. The upper room was to be a place where it all began, and the upper room should still be in operation today. You should have a place in your home you call the upper room Because that's it. That is it, that is it. That's why I will always and forever play a piano like a 90-year-old woman, because I would be Slash or whatever his name is, man, ain't she pretty? Anyway, could you imagine me pulling up to a baptizing or a funeral graveside service? Sharon Elliott asked me yesterday John, they're wanting me to sing at Nancy's graveside service. Can you do you play the guitar? I'm like no, and you better be glad, because we'd rock it out right here at Rest Haven the dead in Christ may rise right here.

Speaker 3:

Every revival in the Old Testament displays a pattern Return, repent, remove, receive. Let me say that again because you might want to write that down, okay, every revival in the Old Testament clearly displays a pattern. That pattern is return, repent, remove, receive. I'm not even going to get to the third one again, because I'm about to spend an hour right here. Return First thing you got to do is return. Where do I return? The altar. There's a doctrine out there. That's a doctrine of the devil. If you never have to repent again oh no, look at me right now. No, no, no, no, no. Not only do I got to repent every day, I got to repent multiple times per day. We have to return to the altar. We've got to quit. Acting like the altar is a bench of shame. The altar is a bench of refuge. The altar is a bench of support and encouragement and help.

Speaker 3:

The altar is where you lay your troubles and trial that nobody else knows, but you and God. You can lay them at the altar and God will take care of them. Return, somebody say return, return. Number two repent. Crying is not repentance. I'm sorry is partial repentance. Quit is the other part. I'm sorry and I'll never do it again. Forgive me, jesus, I'm sorry, and help me to never do it again. So let's put all this together Tears, because when you're truly sorry that's what the old folks used to tell me They'd say honey when you're really sorry in your heart, nine times out of ten a tear's going to come out of your eye. Nine times out of ten a tear is going to come out of your eye. So you put tears with I'm sorry, to help me never do it again. You've got repentance. Change, change your ways. Didn't we read that the other night? If my people, which are called by my name, would humble themselves and pray and seek my face, and what? Turn from their wicked ways. So return, repent.

Speaker 3:

Number three Remove. Oh, I didn't figure. I didn't figure. I didn't figure. There's some things you got to remove. Anything that keeps you from a full-fledged, full-on, full-speed-ahead relationship with God, even if it's a good thing, is not a God thing and it is not His will Remove you can't even dabble in it. You know why? Because you flesh Is Allura here, she what? She's here, right man? She preached Wednesday. She said what I probably needed to. She preached Wednesday. She said what I probably needed to Listen to me. Folks, there's just things in your life you've got to remove. Hey, danny, I knew she smoked.

Speaker 1:

I knew she left Sunday school and went to the car to puff, puff, come back.

Speaker 3:

I ain't stupid, in the words of Lori Edelman I might be ignorant, but I ain't stupid. I knew she was going out there to you know, but I didn't say anything. Sometimes you have to let God. No, no, all the time you have to let God If you're a smoker, a dipper, a chewer or a drinker, I don't know. Whatever. I don't dislike you, I love you. I don't agree with you, but I love you. And guess what? If you truly have a relationship with God and you truly seek God and you're after the things of God, god will teach your heart, he'll teach you.

Speaker 3:

And when she finally said she was done, what happened? She got filled with the Holy Ghost. Lo and stinking behold, she threw four cigarettes in the garbage. How could I forget? There's just some things you need to remove. So return to the altar, repent, remove, and when you remove, you receive. Anybody in the room? I'm going to raise my hand. Anybody in the room need to receive from God. I'm going to say it again. I'll shut my eyes for those of you, full of pride, that don't want nobody. No, you ain't got it all together. Is there anybody in the room that needs to receive of God? Return, repent, remove, receive, receive. See, I was wanting to get to number three, but I'm telling you it's a doozy, it's going to take me a minute, but this revival is not over. Like they can even change the name K would, but this revival is not over, like they can even change the name Kaywood Revival Church. I mean, I don't know, sunday morning Revival Church, sunday, monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday, whatever Friday Revival Church. And I truly believe, if you will listen, you hear me, you listen here and here.

Speaker 3:

They were talking in Sunday school this morning about Job, brother Job. Anybody remember Job? If he was at Sunday school you'd have heard about him, brother Job. Anybody remember Job? He was at Sunday school, you'd have heard about him, brother Job. And our Sunday school teacher Brought it out perfectly that God told Job he was perfect and upright One who feared God and shooed evil, shunned evil, stayed away from evil because he feared God. It wasn't because he trembled, he reverenced and respected God. And then we get over into chapters five, six, seven, eight later on, into Job. And I will tell you, job is a very, very difficult book to read and study. But he had some friends who started blaming him for doing something wrong, to be going through what he was going through. But what they didn't know and Brother Brett brought this out this morning what they didn't know is what God said about Job.

Speaker 3:

Ain't that good. Your friends can say whatever they want to say about you. They can act like they know you better than you know yourself. They can act like they know your heart and they know your motives and they know you're this and they know you're that. They can make you think you're a low down, dirty, rotten scoundrel. They can make you think that you're going through what you're going through because sin is in your life and you're not living where you need to be living. You know because they are and God has ordained them to be the inspector, and you know all this, that and another Amen, but you know what. I truly believe, brother Brett. I truly believe Joe pondered in his heart the thing that God said about him Amen, he was a perfect and an upright man, one that feared God and shoot evil.

Speaker 3:

You can say what you want to about me, but I love God. You can call me what you want to, but I love God. You can say what you will, but I love God. They can say it, but they can't take away what God says about you. Austin Brown, when you were in your mama's womb, god said you are anointed and highly favored of me because God says it about you. You can even say it about yourself, that doesn't change what God said about you. You can even say it about yourself, that doesn't change what God said about you. Then he turned over to my favorite chapter in the Bible John chapter 9. One of my favorite chapters in the Bible John chapter 9. About the boy blind from birth. And what did they say? The church people Come on. Church people, that's what he said.

Speaker 1:

Say it again who sinned?

Speaker 3:

Who sinned His mom and dad or him that made him blind. I heard years ago my papaw say Jesus was a master teacher and he followed it up with this. He could take a question and turn it all the way around to where you were looking at the mirror, at yourself. Jesus had a way of doing that. Who sinned His mom and his dad or him? And Jesus said none of them. This is so that I get the glory. I am about to take a boy that come out of his mama's womb, unable to see that the sky is blue and the grass is green. But hey, boys, sit back and watch what I'm about to do. He's gonna go to bed tonight saying that's blue, that's green, because I was blind, but now I. So you may not be going through what you're going through because you've done something wrong. It may be because God's going to get the glory out of you. Sorry, Brett, to preach it again Amen.

Speaker 3:

Authentic revival is when we return, repent, remove and receive. Are you here today? Listen to me and you've heard it. I know I get it. I've heard it since I was a kid. My papa heard it, my great-pappy heard it. I know I get it. I've heard it since I was a kid. My papa heard it, my great-pappy heard it. You know, whatever Folks listen to me, this is all in the Bible. What you see on CNN and Fox News. I'm convinced you can open up that Bible and read about it.

Speaker 3:

I can tell you what the folks in Peru are doing today. They're worshiping after they have literally walked, driven and floated miles to come to churches that don't have pads on their seats and can't call ball heating and air or whoever at any time, because they are hungry. We don't know hunger. We don't know spiritual hunger. We don't know spiritual hunger and sometimes we need to be hungry to know what it means to be full. I guarantee you that those Indian children did not have to ask their parents. Are we going to church today? Number one a lot of the children they shared with us don't even have a place to sleep or guaranteed food to eat. Shame the devil and tell the truth. How many people going to eat after church today? Oh, really, Fasters, huh? No wonder we're in revival. 95% of you are fasting. Keep it up. You fast in your line. You know what I mean. You either in revival or need revival.

Speaker 3:

Pastor, I'm just in the remember phase. I'm in my remember era. You better get in your repent era and you better get in your redo era and you better get in your remove era so that you can go in your redo era and you better get in your remove era so that you can go into your receive era. But this thing's closing. This thing's closing. This thing's closing.

Speaker 3:

Go ahead and watch CNN and Fox News. Go ahead and get yourself worked up. Go ahead and get yourself tore up from the floor up. But I'm going to encourage you to get in your Bible and read, because the Bible is more accurate than whoever you're watching on the news. It'll tell you what's happening. It'll give you up-to-date information. That's an old book preacher. Oh, it's old, but it's up-to-date. It's got everything you need to know. Stand with me all over the house. I still didn't get to my third. What revival's not? I guess West Liberty will get it for you. I'll do.

Speaker 3:

I need to ask you today are there any returners In the house, any folks that would say I need to return? I need to return. I've strayed. I've strayed. I'm way out in left field. No pun intended, but I've strayed.

Speaker 3:

Hey, preachers in the house, listen to me. I want every preacher in the house to hear me. Get you I thought we had one. I got some at the school. I'll let you borrow one. Get you one of them.

Speaker 3:

Old bandstands, you know what I'm talking about, when they put their sheet music Light as a feather. I mean you can pack that. Old bandstands, you know what I'm talking about, when they put their sheet music Light as a feather. I mean you can pack that thing under your arm. Get on eBay. Get on. What do they call it? Yeah, there's one back there. We need several because we got several preachers.

Speaker 3:

Grab you a Bible, a songbook and a bandstand. Find where crowds are gathered. They'll think I'm foolish. They thought Jesus was. You're in great company. Hey, I'll challenge you. You ain't doing it right till disturbing the pieces you're charged with disturbing. You ain't doing it right till you're charged.

Speaker 3:

We're trying to do this. And here he. You ain't coming to me, I'm coming to you. Take your Bible, sing to them. I never shall forget the day when all the burdens of my soul were rolled away. It made me happy, glad and free. I'll sing and shout it, for he's everything to me.

Speaker 3:

Listen, yesterday, when God drops little nuggets in my mind, usually in a vendor's mall. I'm usually looking at something in a vendor's mall when the Lord talks, and I've never had a desire to do anything like this, Brother Charlie, never. But it hit me. I said you know what? I'm going to make a CD of all the old church songs. I ain't going to sell them, I'm going to give them to you because I don't want them to be forgotten. I don't want to get adjusted to this world, to this world. I got a home that's so much better. I want to go there sooner or later. I got a home that's so much better. I want to go there sooner or later. Amen, he's my king to worship and adore. He's my king. I could go on.

Speaker 3:

I started singing the other day. I sing to myself a lot. In case y'all think I'm nuts, I'm nuts. Started singing the other day. I sing to myself a lot. In case y'all think I'm nuts. I started singing by and by Lord. When the morning comes, when all the saints of God gather home, we will tell the story of how we've overcome and we'll understand it better by and by. Then I started thinking. It's a grand and glorious feeling just to be a child of God. How His love comes over me stealing, making my pathway brighter, long as on I trod.

Speaker 3:

I could go on and I thought I'm going to record. It may take me 15 CDs, but I'm recording them all. Lift me up above the shadows. Plant my feet on higher ground. Lift me up above the platform where the bright sunshine is found. Lift me up above my weakness. Lift me up unto thy state. Lift me up above the platform where the bright sunshine is found. Lift me up above my weakness. Lift me up unto thy state. Lift me up above the shadows till I stand with thee at length.

Speaker 3:

There's not a friend like the lowly Jesus. No, not one. No, not one, not one. No, not one. I would sell all I had and move. Today, my God, there's theology, there's sermons, but God has called you for such a time as this. Get in while the getting's good. I need to return. Preacher. Yeah, you do. I'm praying that conviction. Make you miserable. They prayed misery on me. It works. You can't eat, sleep, walk, talk until you are 110%. You can't eat, sleep, walk, talk until you are 110%. In with God. Bow your heads. I'm going to make quick work of this. You're on your way to hell and you don't want to be. Get up here. You're going to hell and you don't want to Get up here. Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.

Speaker 1:

Oh, this little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine, this little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine. This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine, let it shine, let it shine, let it shine. Jesus gave me this little light. He told me to let it shine. I said Jesus gave me this little light, he told me to let it shine. Jesus gave me this little light. He told me to let it shine. Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.
