The Journey Home: Faith, Growth, and Second Chances

Host: JD. Episode 163

Send us a text

Have you ever wondered if God truly restores what the enemy has stolen? Sister Deb's powerful testimony proves He does exactly that—sometimes in the most unexpected ways and with perfect timing.

Sister Deb joins the 421 Show to share the remarkable changes God has brought to her life, including reuniting her with her first love after 40 years apart. Their story reads like a divine romance: teenage sweethearts separated by life circumstances only to be brought back together decades later when they were finally ready to walk together in God's purpose. "It was just like there was no time between us at all," she shares about their emotional reunion after four decades apart. This beautiful reconciliation demonstrates how God's restoration sometimes requires us to journey through different seasons before receiving the blessing.

Beyond her personal love story, Sister Deb dives deep into what true spiritual growth looks like. "What comes with deliverance is growth," she explains, highlighting how God doesn't just free us from our past—He transforms us through the process. She candidly discusses her spiritual journey, from her struggles to the daily choices that have deepened her relationship with God. Her insights about setting aside worldly activities to focus on "soul saving" in these end times offer a sobering yet hope-filled perspective on what matters most as believers.

Perhaps the most profound moment comes when Sister Deb shares a revelation about "the alabaster box"—how God is breaking open His presence and pouring out His Spirit on His people in these last days. Just as Mary broke her alabaster box to anoint Jesus before His resurrection, this outpouring signals significant spiritual events on the horizon. Are you positioning yourself to receive what God is pouring out? Listen to this episode, let Sister Deb's testimony inspire you, and discover how God might be working to restore what's been stolen in your own life—even if it's been decades in the making.

Speaker 2:

I'm loving it too, she's hands free, no mic in front of her. She's happy, and so she can wave her hands and my fidget spinner going here man yeah, she could throw stuff at me now.

Speaker 2:

Glory to god and uh I. We have her husband, uh, in the studio with us today, but he's not going to be on the mic. But I'm glad you're here, brother and and so he's just sitting in and listening and watching and what I wanted to. We're kind of doing some things different. Things are changing here at the studio. I'm changing, things are being added to it. Sister Deb's changing, and she come up to me about a week ago and she says, you know, she wanted to add a little bit to her testimony and she kind of felt led. We tried to do it a few weeks ago and it just didn't pan out. Things had happened, life happens. It just wasn't the right timing. The Lord's will, it's the Lord's will. We say timing, the Lord says will. But I'm super excited so I'm going to say, hey, sister Deb, the mic's yours, let's just go ahead and get it started.

Speaker 1:

Praise the Lord. Yes, praise the Lord. Praise the Lord, it's such a nice day. Yes, I was coming down the road today and I said, man, it don't even seem like Saturday. No it don't, it really don't. But you know what? No matter what day it is, brother, sister Deb's husband is in the house.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

And that's a new title for me. I am married and you know I basically wanted to get on here and tell everybody about the changes that my life has went through and you know, everybody I'm sure has heard and most all have listened to my testimony. Oh I can't use the kids Sorry about that.

Speaker 1:

You know it wasn't. You know my testimony came with a lot of downfalls and a lot of craziness and a lot of dabbling in this and that, and you know. But it came also with blessings and comeback and you know, being deliverance, I think is the biggest word that my testimony came with is deliverance. You know, the Lord delivered me out of so much, so many things. I couldn't even sit here and begin to tell you the things.

Speaker 2:

You know what's amazing, though what comes with deliverance is growth. I know, I know, you know I've watched you grow and you've watched me grow since we've started this whole crazy mess here, and you know it's amazing.

Speaker 1:

It is, it is and just, I feel grown now just having this headphone on my ears and the microphone. You don't know what I feel right now, man, I'm just ecstatic about having this, I can move.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, If you guys want to know. She's real handsy. She almost puts you in mind of my family, a bunch of Italians just swinging arms and talking.

Speaker 1:

Well, you know, I fidget, I've got my fidget spinner, my Batman fidget spinner, here going.

Speaker 2:

I it. I like I've got my fidget spinner, my batman fidget spinner, here going and I learned self control.

Speaker 1:

I'm just kidding, but you know I tell you what I was telling somebody the other day, uh, the the wedding, I was so nervous, uh, you know, and and they were like man, you know my family that know me and some friends that know me. They were like, well, how, why are you nervous? You, you know, you've been in front of people and and I'm like you know what I am used to. I was an instructor for the Department of Homeland Security, so I did teach, I taught CPR, I taught all these safety classes. But like I was telling them, I would get up and I'd walk the room and I would talk with my hands and walk from one side of the room to the other. I was used to controlling the room in other words Right from one side of the room to the other.

Speaker 1:

I was used to controlling the room, in other words. So when I get up there at my wedding, I had to walk out and be really still and I couldn't use my hands, I mean, I couldn't say my vows, you know, holding my hands up. So I wasn't teaching a class, so I wasn't controlling the room, and that's why I was so nervous. I even had to. I don't know if you noticed, because you know, brother JD, here was my DJ.

Speaker 2:

He did an awesome job.

Speaker 1:

But, if you noticed, I stopped at the bottom of the steps and I told Paul. I said I got to catch my breath and regroup here for a second I think it's what I said, something like that. And I had to stop because we walked each other down the aisle and I was a nervous wreck. But you know, once I started walking I took a deep breath and started walking. I was fine. There's a good picture of us standing at the foot of the steps off my mom's porch and you can see that I'm calming down. But anyway, I just wanted to let people know about you know, god blessed me so and delivered me so. Then and you know, some people think that I believe a lot of people get it in their head. They think that once you give your life to God, that's it. That's all there is to it. You've got to read the Bible and go to church.

Speaker 2:

There's so much more.

Speaker 1:

There's so much more, and you know what it's blessings every single day.

Speaker 2:

I did a show, something similar, you know, talking about the growth. I can't marry me exactly. I'm the gist of it, though, but that's what our whole life is. It's like if you have kids, you don't want to see them. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's nice to have kids around all the time, but there's a point. You you want them to see them grow up, you want them to make choices, and that's what our whole walk is with god is making choices, and, and god wants to make the choices for us, but he wants, wants us to learn to make those choices. And that's growth, and that's something I've seen you just in these last few months. I've seen leaps and bounds in your growth with God. You know, your life with God is just like a 360.

Speaker 2:

Right right, you need a shirt. Yeah, I do right, right you need a shirt.

Speaker 1:

But you know, uh, it's about every day there is a blessing from the lord, yeah, and that every day he teaches us a lesson. If we open up our eyes, like one time and this has been probably a year ago, even though he changed me and and took a lot of that stuff years ago so right up until this day, he, he's changed me and still doing things. And so, like one day, I was sitting in front of my closet thinking about what I'm going to wear and there was some clothes hanging in my closet in one corner and they were like and my spirit? The Lord spoke to me, my spirit, and he said why are you hanging? Why you got them with you? That's part of your past right that's baggage.

Speaker 1:

You know, let that and and I, right down to some clothes, I had to get rid of that baggage I think every one of us goes through something like that.

Speaker 2:

there was things in my life that I've just literally I I stuck in a box and said those, those are memories. And to a point I opened those box and I threw some of that stuff away. Wow, because some of those memories? You know my worldly past, you know partying and you know that lifestyle.

Speaker 1:

Right, he is so amazing at the different changes and the different blessings that if you open yourself up to the Lord, the different blessings that you're going to get every day. Right, you know, I've seen one thing somebody put on Facebook here a while back what two gifts did God give you this morning? And down below it said well, I opened up my two eyes.

Speaker 2:

That's it, life.

Speaker 1:

It is and that is a blessing every day. But if we sit back and we listen and we open up our mind and our hearts to him, he still, he gives us these things every day. Right, you know, and I'm going to say probably in the last six months I'm going to say six months has probably been less you know, I have been used to just being me and my dogs and God and my family. You know, God first, then my dogs, me and my family, and pretty much in that order, and I had been praying to the Lord, you know, to step out and do more. I wanted to take his word and run. I just wanted to just run with it.

Speaker 1:

Right Just take his word everywhere. You know, even though that's what you and I do on here and weekly, I put myself after to the Lord and I'm like, if you want me to go here and there, tell me and I'll go, and I really believe the Lord blessed me with someone that will take me and be with me on this journey.

Speaker 2:

You know, lord, as long as we do what God tells us to do Right, with me on this journey, you know, lord, oh, as long as we do what god tells us to do right, you know, read fast, pray, do all that stuff. And you know, seek him and and and follow his commandments, you know he'll, he'll add to our lives, our hearts desire right, right.

Speaker 2:

You look at this you know I had never thought in a million years I'll be a hot behind the mic. All right, this was something, though. When I was a kid, you know I got to experience, you know, the radio life walking into. You know I'm not shouting this man out, but you know, you know howard stern and you know all those big worldly people. You know I grew up listening to rick d and you know delilah and you know, and just coast, I got to actually go walk into a studio one day and it was just like it hit me. It's like this is what I'm going to do for the rest of my life.

Speaker 2:

But you know, life happens that I didn't. But because I followed God and I sought God and I did everything that he, you know he wanted me to do, he, he, reached down in my past and pulled something out I never thought I'd ever have. I didn't even think twice about having, and now, you know, I broadcast all over the world on, probably, I'm going to say, 15 to 20 networks, right, you know, and and um, I mean I'm blessed, I mean you're blessed, I mean it's just you, people are blessed to listen to me. I mean, no, but it's great and it, honestly is just all, because I followed God and I did what he wanted me to do. And it's the same way with you. You know he's placed you know your husband in your life, he's placed this into your life and he keeps adding to us as like lord how much more are you going to?

Speaker 2:

add, you know. But hey, I say add it, I say pour it on her well, and that's that's what I mean.

Speaker 1:

You know, the I wasn't, I wouldn't have thought, uh, that I would be getting married, and yeah, I mean I'm almost 60 you know, and and I was like you know I was I had just wanted to settle my life down to serve the Lord.

Speaker 1:

And then, up and down the blue, one day, you know, paul and I had been together years ago. We were teenagers. He was a year older, I believe, than me, but you know, years ago we were teenagers. He was my first love, my first kiss, on a swinging bridge in Fairview, you know.

Speaker 2:

And so I remember my first kiss on a swinging bridge in Fairview. You know, I remember my first kiss. It was on a playground in Arizona and, to be honest with you, I'll say her first name, because I don't remember her last name. Her name was Charity.

Speaker 1:

Oh, wow.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it was on the playground next to the monkey bars. You know it was at a daycare or something like that out west.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, Well, the Lord brought Paul back into my life. You know, we were together, like I said, 40-something years ago. We were together for, I think, maybe a couple of years at least. Maybe I'm not good with dates and times. Life goes full circle and we, you know, next thing, you know, 40 something years later, here we are again and it was just like he was there. And you know, the very first time that we talked on the phone for a while, and the very first time we met, I was at my sister's house and they call it Black Joe and he came out and I said I'll be up here if you want to come by. And man, he gets out of his truck and he, he walks toward me and I'm coming down. Man, it was a true love story. I mean, people might not believe in true love stories, but it was just like wow, we both started crying and hugged and it was just like James, there was no time between us at all.

Speaker 2:

Right.

Speaker 1:

Even though I had been around the bend and drinking and I'm going to go into grave detail. No, I know, he had been married and children and widowed and all this. But it was like here we are and I think he had even said not too long ago, here the other day, he said why didn't God just let us back then? But I was like it's like we had to experience what we experienced you wouldn't where.

Speaker 2:

God wanted you for you to do that. Because be honest with you. With you, let's say, let's throw a number out there, you know, 10 years ago, because you had handled it.

Speaker 1:

Probably not. Probably not. No, probably not, because I've only been back to the Lord about seven years, maybe eight years at the most. So probably not.

Speaker 2:

Right.

Speaker 1:

And that's what I told him. I said, the Lord, we had to go around.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

We had to go through what all we went through. All of it wasn't good and all of it wasn't bad, you know, but it was an experience. In other words, we had to be, go around and we had to come around and be who god wanted us to be right in order to, you know, for us to be back together. And I praise the lord that he, that he sent paul to me, because I I really feel that that I'm home. We have, we have a nice, you know, cute little home right now. Yeah, uh, you know now, his dogs and my dogs, we've made a cute little family. He has some kids and some daughters I'm hoping to get to know better, oh, definitely. So his sisters and stuff. I already love them. They loved me before.

Speaker 2:

Right.

Speaker 1:

And I've got to know them more. So I just wanted basically to get on here and to tell everybody you know what God will bring those blessings around if you believe. I've been talking to Paul about a lot of faith and that's what I'm saying. If you believe and you have that faith, he's right there.

Speaker 2:

That's what faith is. It's walking, not by sight. You might not see a direction in which god is wanting you to go right, right I never thought I'd end up here. Would you have ever thought you was married? No, no but we, we said, lord, you'll add to us the goodness of god, no matter what it is, you'll add to us, and you know what I need. You give me and say that's what I pray, right? Or do you know what I need? Don't go, do what I, what I want, right?

Speaker 1:

you know what I need when he'll give you more than what you even asked for he knows our needs. You know he'll give us more than we asked for. Like you know, somebody would have told me six months ago I'd be sitting here in kaywood, married. I would have said what are you?

Speaker 2:

you know I met you two and a half years ago, I'd have never yeah, you can be sitting here married but I am so grateful that God has put you into my life and, with your obedience to God and my obedience with God, we sit here today with the blessings of God.

Speaker 2:

And look at the word. They don't mean we're not going to have struggles. Now to the listeners, though. I want you to realize this, though you know that's the whole goal of the enemy. We're not going to get total relief from that until we get into heaven.

Speaker 1:

That's it.

Speaker 2:

But we're going to be able to handle all that nagging that the enemy does towards us and pushing us and all of that. And you know the strength of God's in us, right, because the Lord tells us you know we was talking before the show. You know about the armor of God. The Lord says gird up your loins with truth, and that means the strength of God. You know the shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace, meaning. You know, wherever your feet tread, you're going to have victory. Wherever you go, wherever your feet tread, you're going to have victory. Wherever you go.

Speaker 2:

And seeing, you've got victory in certain things in your life One you're married. That is a spoil of God's and that's a spoil of the war that you fought with the enemy. The enemy took that from you 40 years ago. What did God say? He says the enemy has to restore to you everything that he has stolen from you. What has he done that he's restored something back what it means to be a woman and what it means to be a man. And he has put you and he says I'm restoring it right and the enemy reluctantly, gave it back to you.

Speaker 1:

He really has, and I have prayed. Like I said, I have been praying to the you know about hitting the road with his word.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, you talked about that and I told Paul one day I think this might have even been before we got married I said you know. I said I've been praying to the Lord to evangelize, to take his word and go. I said so, you, you know there might be a day in the future I hope I don't, can't say when might be next month or next year I said, but there may be a day in the future. The lord says go, I need you to go yeah definitely I said so.

Speaker 1:

If I came and said, hey, man, I gotta go, I'll be on the sideline rooting you on. We'd be like yeah, and he even said hey, I, I'm going with you. Yeah, you know. So I'm ready to go and I said okay.

Speaker 2:

Definitely, definitely. So how's the new mic working out for you? I love it.

Speaker 1:

Yes, I love it.

Speaker 2:

Yes, God has blessed us. I was so excited when I ordered it, you know.

Speaker 1:

I really love it.

Speaker 2:

That's part of God's blessing I know.

Speaker 1:

Thank you.

Speaker 2:

It was a blessing, I know, and I thank god for it.

Speaker 1:

I really do. No, I just wanted to come on here today and just tell everybody you know about the blessings. I mean it's, they're there, they're promises, everything you know. God said that all we had to do is ask. Now. I wasn't asking't asking for a husband, but I got one.

Speaker 2:

You got one, that's cool.

Speaker 1:

I think I got a partner and it's going to take me wherever I need to go. I'm really glad I thank God every day because if and when he does tell me to get out there on that road, I'd be leery by myself. I really would, and I told somebody the other day. I said you know, I really feel that this is what God had in mind when he put us together, because I'm hoping and praying and I really feel in my spirit that one day I'm going to be out there.

Speaker 2:

I believe you, I'm ready.

Speaker 1:

You know, whenever God wants me to go, all he has to do is tell me to go.

Speaker 2:

I tell you what it's probably coming sooner than you think.

Speaker 1:

But I wanted just to tell everybody you know, don't doubt your blessings, don't doubt God moving in your life, because he will, you know when you least expect it, because I would have never expected it.

Speaker 2:

I can't remember how many times I thought I was going to lose the studio, or I was just going to lose the ministry completely, because, like Lord, I'm doing what you asked me to do.

Speaker 1:

Right.

Speaker 2:

You know, I'm trying to be as faithful you know, as possible. You know, and walk by faith and not by sight. And I'm trying to do this.

Speaker 2:

God, I need this and he, he already knew what I needed right you know, and I felt the heat, I felt the flames of the fire, you know, from the enemy, and I was like, and then some days it just looked really clean, all right, and I I'd get into my panic mode and I'm like, you know, lord, you know, and you're gonna have to help me out, and the peace of god, you know, surpassed the fall understanding, just like poured out, and I I don't know how to explain it, but I'm still here today and and, um, and don't worry about tomorrow, because you, you know, tomorrow might not be for me.

Speaker 1:

This is true.

Speaker 2:

So if you guys are listening and you don't see me tomorrow or hear me the rest of the year, I went on to heaven, you know.

Speaker 2:

But you know I want to stay here as long as possible, not for my self-vanity, not for my fleshly desires. My whole goal now is you, you know, to sit here for the ministry. You know the the labors are few, you know, and we see that in our churches today. You know we're seeing our churches dwindling because of world activity. You know, uh, my pastor had said, you know, uh, pastor john carter had said, um, the other day, behind the pulpit, you know, talking about the end of times, he said we're in a state of revival. It's like we'll go on for like three or four days and then we'll take a couple days off and boom our revival's back over again. People get saved every day, right?

Speaker 2:

I've seen that on facebook and, uh, I don't know exact number, but I'm gonna say at least two months or better, we've been in a state of revival at our church, you know, and resurrection and and restoring I can't get the word out and he, he had said something you know, living in these. I guess I'll try to paraphrase it. I can't remember exactly how he said it, but you know, I think the church is not ready because they're so into the world activities, no matter if it's, you know, whatever it is, between your work, sports, you know, just gardening, whatever it is, and nobody has time for church and God's literally shifting the wheat from the tares and we're seeing that physically. We're living, you know, in the end times, and then we see Israel, but I think we're going to have to set aside our activities as much as we'd like to go to Grand Canyon we're going to have to say no, set time apart for God.

Speaker 2:

I think the closer we get to the coming of the Lord, the more we're going to have to set aside and do more of God You're like. Well, I've got to have my leisure time. We'll rest when we get to heaven. Right, you know that's the way I see it. I kind of paraphrased I, I wrote it down. I don't have my notes with me right now because we're kind of winging this today, right, but god is moving. I feel god in this and uh, yes, and but we we had to.

Speaker 2:

I think the more and closer we get with god, the less, and if we're truly walking with god, we're going to set aside those worldly activities and we're not going to, we're going to concentrate more on soul saving, soul reviving Right. You know we're going to see more come to the altar, you know, and we're going to, we're going to minister more and I'm watching a tremendous growth in our church.

Speaker 1:

Right.

Speaker 2:

You know just awesome.

Speaker 2:

Just not with. You know. I guess our main topic is today about growth. You know how we start off young and then, boom, we're growing. Our church has grown tremendously, just not in souls.

Speaker 2:

I've watched people that I've went to church with now. You know I watched them when they first come to the Lord and now they're in their own ministry. You know I watched them when they first come to the Lord and now they're in their own ministry. Right, you know, I watch our ministry grow and then I watch my pastors and, um, I remember when I first listened to him, to his message. Today it's so different, it's it's so hungry for God, it's it's more direct towards, you know, the people and their souls and their needs, and it's like God saying my people are hungry, I'm going to feed you, you know. And, um, he, I got to share this If you don't mind. Um, he, he, he, um, he.

Speaker 2:

He did a sermon on and if you guys are listening you can go it up it's. And he talks about the alabaster box. I think it's on the last program, I'm not sure, but where she broke the box to get out that precious ointment. God's breaking the box of the alabaster box, he's breaking it right now and he's pouring it out upon his people. Right and I've constantly, always said this when I do my show that we can mirror these last days in the walk of Christ. So where was Christ in when he broke the alabaster box? It wasn't long after that, you know, the resurrection came.

Speaker 1:

Right.

Speaker 2:

You know. And so Mary broke that alabaster box and she poured that frankincense I guess it was myrrh or frankincense or whatever that oil was, I can't remember that oil, right. But she broke that box and poured out that precious oil and that fragrance just filled the room Right, and seeing the Lord of Spirit had told me, you know, at church Sunday he says that's what he's doing right now, just not in this country, right here, but throughout all the country he's pouring out these last days he's pouring out that precious oil of God.

Speaker 1:

That's awesome.

Speaker 2:

Ain't God? Good he is. I didn't think I was going to share that, but I did. I hope it come out good. I hope you guys received that good Right. So if I'm wrong on anything, you know you email me.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, god is that good, right? So if I'm wrong on anything, you know, you email me. Yeah, god is good, he is, and that's was my main purpose of wanting to talk on here today. I didn't, you know, I didn't want to go into a whole new or change my testimony yeah, no, no, no I just wanted to add a little bit to it to let everybody know god still you added a good thing you know he's still blessing you added a good thing.

Speaker 1:

He's still blessing every day, and what he does for us and me, and you, all of us, he can do for everybody else. That's it. We just have to open up our hearts and our minds and let him.

Speaker 2:

That's the key.

Speaker 1:

Let him. Let him work for us. Let him use you. Listen to his voice. He said my sheep know my voice.

Speaker 2:

Well, you had said that. That reminded me. You know, they cried for Saul. They cried I want a king. I want a king, and he's like Lord's like. I'll do it for you. Did I not feed you when you was in the wilderness? Did I not give you water? Did I not give you an escape?

Speaker 1:

from.

Speaker 2:

Egypt. You know what they did. They hollered for Saul Right. What did the Lord do? He gave them some.

Speaker 1:

Well, you know, even when you know, sometimes you know we fail God daily.

Speaker 2:

We do.

Speaker 1:

We fail Him daily. And you know, if you look at the children of Israel, you know, look at when he got them out of bondage.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Instead of being grateful and thankful. What did they do? They made these false gods, you know, and every step they made. Their shoes was fine, their clothes never tattered, he gave them food, he gave them water.

Speaker 2:

They got to eat angel food.

Speaker 1:

I mean no matter what I want to try angel food. So that lets you know, you know what that we're not perfect.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

You know we're not perfect. We're going to fail him daily, us every single day, just like you did them. Every single step, which now you know what should have, took them a couple of weeks, took them 40 years, but but that was their own disobedience, that was because of the choices they make I'm 48 years old, going on 49, and and I look at my life like that too.

Speaker 2:

Where would I have been just 20 years ago, right when I first gave my heart to god? But stubbornness, your resentment, disobedience right but I'm here today and you know, and I repent daily. Sometimes I repent and I don't even know what I'm repenting for and I was like lord, if there's anything in my heart, see, that's me and I, you know that's me.

Speaker 1:

I ask him daily you know, if I've said or done anything wrong, if I've hurt anybody's feelings in any way. You know I've got anger issues.

Speaker 2:

I made a vow to myself that I never walk back into McDonald's. I went at McDonald's earlier. I walked out marrying her. Before I'm telling you what, though I tell you what, but that's just like you know. It's just you know. I was like I just can't do it. So I was like, lord, forgive me, I'm sorry, lord.

Speaker 1:

I have a road rage thing, I mean.

Speaker 2:

I don't have road rage too bad.

Speaker 1:

I do, I have a.

Speaker 2:

Her husband's shaking his head. He's like yep it's bad.

Speaker 1:

I have a road rage thing going on and yeah, I mean I don't. I don't, you know, call anybody out their name or anything, or I might throw my arms up or I'll be, like wow, you know and.

Speaker 2:

I just my thing is, though, when I, when I I like politeness, you know, because I used to be a server at a restaurant, you know, on the customer service type thing, you can overdo customer service and you can underdo customer service, and there's no in between with these people at this McDonald's.

Speaker 1:

Well, some people you just can't be nice to.

Speaker 2:

And it's just like. And then you're like how did you graduate? Right, you know I could tell you how I graduated. It was by the hair of my teeth. But I'll be honest with you. I'll tell you the truth, though you know, I was dumber than a box of rocks.

Speaker 1:

My thing is that patience.

Speaker 2:

I guess you could say that was for me too Like.

Speaker 1:

I'm sitting on the porch this morning. I love my coffee time.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

About 8.30 this morning. About 8.30, I'm sitting on a porch having my first cup of coffee of the day and my phone rings and I'm thinking, okay, let me see who this is, because you don't know who's. You know, and it's a bill collector from something, some kind of bank, whatever, blah, blah, and I'm like, so you want to tell me. You called my phone at 830 in the morning on a Saturday morning.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

I mean, do you not realize this is coffee time? I mean, I know right, you know, and anyway.

Speaker 2:

So I was pretty nice, and you know I didn't want to be, but I was pretty nice Right.

Speaker 1:

But anyway, I just wanted everybody to know, man, how the Lord has blessed me. It's like a testimony, it's like you know, let me tell you, let me tell you, let me tell you what god's done for me and still doing yeah every day. What it's about it's right there, all you just reach your hand out, ask him. He said ask and you receive. He knows what you want before you even ask right he just wants to hear you, you know yeah but I thank god every day for where he's brought me.

Speaker 1:

I thank God every day for the steps that he guides. I thank God for my husband, paul, and bringing him back into my life, and I so look forward to the future of whatever God has, whatever journey he's going to put us on. I'm ready.

Speaker 2:

I'm excited, I'm really excited, though. Every day I look up to the sky and I'm like man, we're just one step away yeah, that's it he's looking up at the stars. The other night and I'm like I can't see the stars. We was talking about what is faith? I look up and the clouds are covering the stars.

Speaker 2:

But I knew the stars they're there, we know they're there they're always there, they're always looking on it, yeah, and all of a sudden the cloud just passes and it opens up and there was a star, and I'm like well, that's what I was telling paul the other day.

Speaker 1:

We were talking about faith and I said you know, uh, is it easy? No, no, it's not easy, but we just have to give it to the lord and and know that he's there, know that he's there, and and you know, we just have to give it to the Lord and know that he's there, know that he's there and we just have to put our faith in him. It's not the easiest thing to do, but he's there. I mean, look where he brought us so far. He's not going to let us down now.

Speaker 2:

Right, it's faith.

Speaker 1:

But anyway, I love everybody out there, man, I just pray for everybody and I want everybody to know I still have my prayer box going. If you need a, a name, you want to jot it down and hey, send me an email. Send you an email, send us a message. I miss this round table thing let us know. It's been a while. If you want to pray, hey, we'll pray. Call me on the phone. We'll pray, cry, whatever you want to do yeah, I just want people to know that I'm here.

Speaker 2:

Definitely definitely.

Speaker 1:

But I've so enjoyed this, brother, yes.

Speaker 2:

Like I said, I've missed it. It's been a while since we've been on here. We're still doing our thing, but you know, I think we should try to do it a little bit more often, right?

Speaker 1:

right.

Speaker 2:

And you know, to let everybody know she's not going to be on the radio. No more on WUIC. The Lord is just moving her in a different direction.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

That's part of growth.

Speaker 1:

I know.

Speaker 2:

And I'll advertise that a little bit more.

Speaker 1:

So shoot, it is part of it. Well, you know, I just feel that there's a change coming and the Lord has moved, like you said, different directions, and I'm not going to say that I won't go back to that. You never know. You never know what's in the future. We never know what door that the Lord opens up and we step through.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, because when you're in a ministry like this, you know there's time schedules. You got to do and there's time, things you got to keep, and maybe those doors, you know, you don't know what God's got in store for you on the other end, and maybe he's like I'm going to need you for this time and you're not going to be able to do it.

Speaker 1:

I mean who knows?

Speaker 2:

We can think of a million things. I guess it's that's the part of god, though that's the unknowing, that's not for our reach. We just accept it and go on, and I think there is times that the lord does reveal to us, but it's in his timing. It's where we can understand right because if you'd have told me 20 years ago, I would have never understood this right.

Speaker 2:

I would have said no, and there's things that the Lord puts into my spirit.

Speaker 2:

Today he's like you're going to be doing no, but you know we all have those visions. And, uh, the pastor had told me here a while back ago, you know, in one of his messages, write down your vision. And I took it a step further and I wrote down my visions. But then the Lord come to me and he says I want you to explain why you have these visions. And I started to explain those visions on why I have them and where God has taken me and what I feel that I need to be doing. And then I went back and I read them all and very little of me, more of God. And he says I wanted you to see that you're putting God before the world, before yourself. He knows we still have to live in the flesh Right, and because I explained them in detail, detail, I saw myself in those visions and actually a couple of those visions just come to pass right, you know, my financial, you know stability is increased a little bit.

Speaker 2:

Thank to god lord um, but who's to say, tomorrow's tomorrow and I'll live it if it comes.

Speaker 1:

One day at a time.

Speaker 2:

One day at a time. Sweet Jesus, right, awesome. I'm so glad you're here and I guess that's our cue. We're going to go ahead and I guess we'll call it quits, and if you want to pray, I'll pray with you. Okay, but before we do that, if there's anybody out there that don't know Christ, the main thing that we do this for is for you.

Speaker 1:

Amen.

Speaker 2:

It's the love. And if we don't tell you the truth, we don't love you. And if you get offended, it's not because of us, it's because of Christ. That's a hard say say, but it is true. And if you offend christ, then you offend me. So in one way, yes, but it's an offense that I'm willing to take.

Speaker 2:

Uh, I have all love for all people, no matter what you're facing or going through. And uh, and if you're out there and you don't know christ, no matter what you're facing or going through, and uh, and if you're out there and you don't know Christ, no matter where you're at you're sitting on the park bench in your car, you're jogging, you're riding a bike, you know you're. You're sitting in a bush in a tent. God loves you, I love you, and all you have to do is call upon the name of the Lord and he says he'll save you. All you have to do is call upon the name of the lord and he says he'll save you. All you have to do is say jesus, and he'll appear, not physically, but he'll appear. You'll know. Uh, trust me, you'll know. And uh, you seek him with your whole heart and uh, he will fill it right you got anything else?

Speaker 1:

no, I just wanted to say god bless everybody and thank you for listening and yes, um, I will be back, lord's will the next week with another version of bible talk we'll be back on regular schedule I am working on it now and the good lord's helping me with it and I just want to say thanks to everybody and and I look forward to the trip that, the journey god puts us on well, I'll tell you what.

Speaker 2:

Sister, if you want to end us in prayer, it would be great.

Speaker 1:

We thank you, lord, for the words, lord, that we have given out today, and we just want everybody to understand, lord, and let them understand and see the blessings that's in store for them, not just here, but the heavenly home that we can go and see you face to face, and we just ask you to let these people understand that all they've got to do is reach out their hand.

Speaker 1:

That all they've got to do is put their trust in you and their faith in you, and you'll give them this stuff and more, more. But we thank you for this version, we thank you for this show, we thank you for being able to come on here and to talk about you and to testify, and whatever we have to do, we praise you and we honor you.

Speaker 1:

We thank you for everything, the many blessings. We ask you to go with us and lead us in God, each and every body, lord, according to your will. In Jesus' holy, sweet name, we pray.
