Bible Talk with Sister Deb: John 3:16 - A Love Without Limits
God's love extends to everyone regardless of background, status, or past mistakes as demonstrated through John 3:16. The profound truth that Jesus came for all people—not just the religious or righteous—is at the heart of Christianity's most famous verse.
• Jesus could have been born to a wealthy family with great celebration, but instead came through humble beginnings
• God chose unexpected people (shepherds, foreigners, a teenage girl) to announce Christ's birth
• Unlike Santa's naughty/nice list, Jesus specifically came for sinners and those considered unworthy
• Throughout scripture, we see Jesus reaching out to the outcasts, demon-possessed, sick, and rejected
• None of us are worthy of Christ's sacrifice, yet he died for everyone anyway
• "Whosoever believes" means salvation is universally available without restrictions
• God loves every person equally—there are no limits based on color, gender, or criminal record
• Accepting Christ means believing he died on the cross, rose after three days, and is coming back
• Salvation offers everlasting life—freedom from tears, worries, and sickness
If you have not given your life to Jesus Christ, won't you come to Him today? If you already know Him, go tell someone about the Jesus who came for everyone.
I would like to welcome everyone to the show enjoy and God bless everyone.

Speaker 1:Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. What a beautiful day in the Lord it is. Thank you everybody for listening. Thank you everybody for listening. So today I want to talk about this verse in the Bible. Everybody, I'm sure, has known it at one point in time or said it. Or John 3.16. And we know that is reading that verse. It's a powerful reminder that God's love is for the entire world, that his gift of salvation is for everyone that believes, regardless of your past or your present circumstances.
Speaker 1:Now it's easy to fall into the trap of thinking that Jesus came for the nice people or the good people, kind of much like Santa's naughty and nice list. Right, but you see, jesus could have been born. Now check this out. Jesus could have been born to a wealthy, prominent family in the holy city, jerusalem, with all the celebrations of a king. He could have had fireworks and parades and he could have had anything that God had chose for a celebration. But instead God chose a teenage girl, an outsider from Nazareth, lowly shepherds, pagan foreigners, a little small town and a humble manger to announce the birth of his son. Now why did God choose such an unexpected cast of characters to proclaim the good news, news I believe. He wanted to make one thing absolutely clear that Jesus Christ, his son, is for everyone. He came for everyone, people. He came for the foreigners, the outcasts, the despised, the rejected, the lost, the weary, the despised, the needy, the criminals, the prostitutes, the homeless, and the list goes on and on and on. He came for sinners, people. He came for the naughty list. Right Throughout the Bible we see stories of Jesus reaching out to those who were considered unworthy by society the demon-possessed people, the sick, the outcasts, the people that had leprosy, even the criminals on the cross See.
Speaker 1:These stories serve as a testament to the nature of Jesus' mission. You know he came for the religious and the not religious, the clean and the unclean, the rich and the poor and the strong and the weak. His love transcends all barriers and His grace is sufficient for all people. Jesus came for each one of us, no matter who we are, where we came from, no matter what we've done in our past, no matter what we said or done or you know what streets we walked on, whether we were homeless or rich or poor. His love and mercy are vast enough to cover all of our stories. His love and salvation is available to everyone who believes.
Speaker 1:Now, unlike Santa who rewards the nice and ignores the naughty, jesus came for one and all, and if you read 1 Timothy 1 and 15, that assures us that Jesus came to save the sinners. Now, all throughout the Word of God are stories of Jesus reaching out to those who are considered unworthy by society. For the demon-possessed men, the criminal on the cross, these stories show Jesus' mission was to seek and to save the lost, offering hope and redemption to every single one. You know, friends, sometimes feeling unworthy of Jesus' love is a common struggle that a lot of people go through. But in our reality, the truth is none of us are worthy.
Speaker 1:None of us are worthy. We're not worthy of the bloodshed, we're not worthy of one single drop of his blood that was shed on that cross. There's not a thing we could do in our past or ever do in our future to be worthy of that. Yet he came for the unworthy, for the broken people, the forgotten people. He came for that, those people, for all of us. You know, and when you read John 3, 16, you know it lets you know that Jesus came into the world for everybody, going above all barriers of race, of status, past mistakes. His mission was not limited to just a select group but for all of mankind, offering salvation to anyone who believes. My friends, today I want you to understand that no one is beyond the reach of God's grace, no one you know. So I need you to please let John 3, 16 sink in.
Speaker 1:And I know you've all heard that verse. I know you've probably memorized it as a kid. It's probably the first one I've ever memorized. You know some of you may have it on a t-shirt, on a coffee mug or maybe even a bumper sticker. You know that verse shows that he came for everyone. Have it on a t-shirt, on a coffee mug or maybe even a bumper sticker.
Speaker 1:That verse shows that he came for everyone, everyone that believes in him, everyone that would believe, everyone, all people. Jesus came for the unholy, the broken, the unlovable, the neglected, the forgotten, the abused. He came for everyone. Now, we all have our own stories and our stories are they're not all alike, there's no two the same, but we have one common denominator in our story and that's Jesus Christ, and that he is for each and every one of us, All of us, despite our story. He's for us. He came for each and every one of us, all of us, despite our story. He's for us. He came for us all. He died on the cross for us all. He wasn't thinking about this one or that one when he went on the cross. He was thinking about each and every one of us. He had each and every one of us on his mind when he went to the cross. When he went to the cross, you see, god didn't send his son to die to show us how powerful he is. He didn't send his son just to outsmart the devil.
Speaker 1:No he did it because he loved us, and let's talk about this verse. He did it because the Bible said God so loved the world. He didn't pick and choose. He didn't say you know, I'm going to do it for this one or that one. He said whosoever, and that's all of us people. He loved the whole world, the whole wide sinful world, so that people, people of every kind, every sin, so that every person could be saved. He said whosoever, and that's you and that's me. And he said it over and over several different times in the Word of God.
Speaker 1:Romans 10 and 13 says whosoever will, whosoever will call on the name of the Lord, will be saved. Revelations 22 and 17 says whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. See, listen to me people. It doesn't matter whether you're rich or you're poor, you're young or you're old, it doesn't matter whether you're American, chinese, mexican, russian. It's for every nation, every race, every country.
Speaker 1:Jesus Christ is for whosoever. All you have to do is reach out and take him up on it, and I cannot stress that enough. I know this is not going to be the longest message that I put out here, but, friends, the greatest invitation that God puts out there is for whosoever, for everyone, and all it says all you have to do is believe in him. That's all it says, for God so loved the world that whosoever believes in him and I don't mean believe in a man named Jesus who lived in Israel 2,000 years ago. I'm talking and saying for whosoever to know that there is a man and believe that there was a man named Jesus Christ who gave his life on the cross, who died on the cross for our sins, and he came back after three days and he came back and he is coming back again someday. And you had to put your faith in him, people. You have to trust in him as your Lord and Savior.
Speaker 1:Yes, he came for whosoever. You're not too sinful, you're not too good, you're not too old, you're not too young, too rich or too poor, it doesn't matter. He didn't have none of that. He wasn't thinking about any of that on his mind. You know, and I just want you to open up your eyes and realize. Can you see the wide scope of Jesus' love? Can you see the scope of his love that covers the whole entire world? You've heard that song. He's got the whole world in his hands, people. He's got every nation, every tribe, language and people.
Speaker 1:Jesus Christ is for everyone. He came for everyone the blind man, the begging man, the Samaritan woman at the well people, the soldier at the foot of the cross who helped put him there, the people that pierced his side and put the crown of thorns on his head, the people who spit on him and mocked him. And he's for everyone and friends. He's for you and me. He's for all the skeptic people out there who doubt that he even existed. He's no respecter of persons. He is for all. He's for everyone If you are only willing to accept him. He cares for you, he cares for one and all and he died for the sins of the world. He died for you and for me.
Speaker 1:You know, and this entire verse emphasizes that God's love is for all of humanity, not just a select group, for God so loved the world. God's love is so great that it extends to the whole fallen world, the whole sinful world. He gave his only begotten son. God's ultimate gift and act of love was to sacrifice his son, jesus Christ, for all of us, that whosoever believes in him. It's a universal offer, not restricted by anything or anyone. It's available to any and to all who turn to Him in faith, who give their life to Him, shall perish but have, but shall not perish but have eternal life, people. That is the promise of everlasting life with God.
Speaker 1:When John 3.16 says that God so loved the world, it means that he loves every person from head to toe equally. The logic goes like this God loves every person. Christ died for every person. Therefore, salvation is possible for every single person. Every single person and my friends. Today I am so glad that Jesus is for me, so glad I think about all the things that he's done for me every single day and every prayer that he answers. I'm glad he's for me and I'm glad he's for you too. Friends, salvation by the Lord Jesus. It knows no bounds. There's no limits on color, gender, criminal record, none, no limits at all. That same Lord, jesus Christ, is Lord of all.
Speaker 1:And, brothers and sisters, I'm telling you here today it doesn't matter who you are, where you came from, your family history, it doesn't matter whether your friends came over here on the uh, uh, whatever them were, them boats were years ago. It doesn't matter where your family came from. It doesn't matter any of that. People, I can't. I need you to understand that he came for you. Jesus accepts all who will come to him. He came for you and I'm telling you today, if you have not given your life to Jesus Christ, you might, you know, won't you come into him. Give everlasting life.
Speaker 1:People listen, read the verse everlasting life. And if you have put your trust in Jesus, then what are you waiting for People? Get up, go out there and tell somebody that Jesus died for you today so you could go to heaven. Tell somebody today, get up, let everybody know that Jesus Christ is for you, he's for me, he's for everybody. Friends, I'm telling you today he is talking to someone. He wants you to realize and understand that he came into this world for all.
Speaker 1:It doesn't matter what kind of hair you got, what kind of clothes you wear, what kind of car you drive, what kind of food you eat, what kind of house you live in. He does not matter to him. It doesn't matter. He said he came so that we would have life and have it more abundantly. He came so that we would have everlasting life. And can you imagine everlasting life walking the streets of heaven? I mean, why can we not imagine that? Why can we not get that in our heads. I mean, I'd rather walk everlasting life in heaven than the alternative any day.
Speaker 1:And you know what the alternative is, people, I'm telling you today, you've got to put your trust in Jesus Christ. You've got to put your trust in Jesus Christ. You've got to put your trust in Jesus. Give Him your heart right now.
Speaker 1:If you have not given your heart to Jesus Christ, you need to think about this and you need to read John 3, 16, and you need to let it sink in that, for God so loved the world that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. Everlasting life, not a tear, not a worry, not a sickness, nothing. I mean this world right here around behind us and around us. Everything is such craziness going on. There's so many things happening right now earthquakes, everything's happening, uh, tididal waves, tsunamis. I mean people. Look at the stuff that just happened All around us. People dying, young people, old people, little people, it doesn't matter. Look at all the craziness that's happening around right now.
Speaker 1:He said whosoever. All you got to do is come to him, give him your life, turn everything over to him and tell Jesus Christ. Today I want to be that whosoever. I want to be right there. I want to serve you. Ask him to come into your heart and be your personal savior. Tell him, let him know you believe, you believe that he died on the cross, you believe that he came back after three days and you believe and know in your heart he's coming back again, that he came back after three days and you believe and know in your heart he's coming back again.
Speaker 1:People, that same Lord, jesus Christ, who was born so many, many years ago in Bethlehem in that little manger, he's the same one today who's standing at the door right now trying to tell you whosoever will believe in him shall not perish but have eternal life. So, here today, I'm asking you, if you haven't given your life to Jesus Christ and people, I'm telling you won't you come? Won't you come to him and come to everlasting life? Let Jesus Christ know that you want to come to him, that you want him on your side, you want him in your life, you want to come to everlasting life. And if you have put your trust in Jesus before, maybe you feel you need to start over, maybe you feel you need to get up and do a little more. Then, like I said, what are you waiting for people. Go tell somebody today. Go tell somebody to read John 3.16 that whosoever believe in him shall not perish but have eternal life. That's all I have today on John 3.16.
Speaker 1:I love everybody and I hope and pray that this word has went to someone's heart. I hope and pray that someone understands what this is saying. I want you to please, please, wherever you are, sit down right now and read that verse and let it sink in. Why God done what he done? Because he loved the world, because whosoever believes in him should not perish. I hope this has blessed you as much as it's blessed me to bring it to you. I hope and pray out there today that you open up your eyes and realize that God so loved the world. I'm going to end this with a prayer. I hope and pray you guys listen to me next week on WTUK 105.1. It's a new endeavor for Bible Talk and Hope and Pray. Just give us your prayers as we step out a little further. We thank you for listening and God bless everybody.
Speaker 1:Our Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ today, I pray that everybody heard this today, that everybody understood what this verse is saying, that everybody opens up their heart and their ears and let it sink in that you've done what you've done because you so love the world, that you gave your son to die on the cross, because you so love the world, that everybody who believes in you let them understand that all they got to do is believe, that all they got to do is open up their hearts and minds and let you in their heart and believe that you died on the cross, that you came back in three days and that you are coming back again.
Speaker 1:Let the ears that need to hear this let them hear it, let them understand it and let them give their life to you, lord. Let them open up their hearts and their minds and their ears to you. God, lord, we thank you for this opportunity to get the word out there. We thank you, lord, for the word that you've given us today and every day we thank you for the word of God. We praise you, we honor you, we love you and we ask these and all things. In Jesus' holy, sweet name, we pray Amen and amen. God bless everybody, god bless everybody.
