Bible Talk: Make Hell Tremble
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Hell doesn’t tremble because we get louder. Hell trembles when we remember who we are in Christ and actually live like it. Sister Deb Osborne brings a bold, Scripture-grounded message about spiritual warfare, prayer, and the authority Jesus gives believers, then pushes us past comfort into courage.
We walk through Bible passages that put steel in your spine, including Luke 10:19 on power over the enemy, James 4:7 on resisting the devil, Acts 16:25–26 on chains breaking through prayer and worship, and Philippians 2:10 on the unmatched power in the name of Jesus. Along the way, we talk about why the enemy targets your thoughts, why silence can keep you stuck, and why faith is more than a feeling. If fear has been speaking loudly, you’ll hear practical “battle cries” to answer back with truth.
We also get concrete about what it looks like to pray prayers that “shake the gates of darkness” without performing for anyone: quiet prayers through tears, praying for your home, interceding for family members, blessing your neighbors, and taking prayer walks through your community. Sister Deb points to the Armor of God in Ephesians 6 as daily spiritual protection so you can stand your ground and stop living on the defensive.
If this strengthens you, subscribe to Bible Talk, share this with a friend who needs courage, and leave a review so more people can find it. What’s your battle cry today?
I would like to welcome everyone to the show enjoy and God bless everyone.

SPEAKER_01Praise the Lord. What a beautiful day in the neighborhood. It's a beautiful day in the Lord. Hallelujah. We are going to make hell mad today. This one is people welcome to Bible Talk. Let me calm down a little bit. I'm kind of kind of ready to get this going. I want to talk to you today about making hell tremble. Making hell mad. Now, are we biting off trouble? Probably so. But we know where our help comes from. Amen. So I want to talk about hell. We want to talk about breaking hell wide open. And you know, when people, when, when people pray powerful, we break hell wide open. You know, we declare that every every enemy has no no power here, no right, no claim, no victory, or nothing over our lives, our thoughts, or our family. That's what we want to do today. Because hell don't tremble because we are loud. Hell trembles, people, because of what lives inside of us. Okay. When people pray, when the people of God pray, begin to pray, when we begin to worship and we begin to forgive and we stand in faith and we walk in obedience, heaven rejoices. Heaven rejoices. But hell trembles. You know. The enemy, he's not afraid of your opinions, of my opinions, he's not afraid of our thoughts. My friends, the enemy is afraid of the authority that we have in Christ. And that authority, Jesus said in Luke 10 and 19, Jesus said, Behold, I give you the power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all of the power of the enemy. I'm going to repeat that, all of the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. There's that power. There's that authority right there, friends. Right there. In Luke 19, Luke 10 and 19, in Acts 16, 25 through 26, you know, uh Paul and Silas was in prison. They had that power to start praying, and you know what? Open the prison doors. Uh James 4 and 7 says, resist the devil and he'll flee from you. We have the power, friends. Ephesians 6 and 12 says, we wrestle not with flesh and blood, but we wrestle against the rules of the darkness. But we have that power. And see, we can make hell tremble. Every lie, every fear, every heaver darkness must flee in the name of Jesus Christ. He gave us that power. Friends, he gave us that power. And we had to, every single day we get up, we need to remind hell that Jesus Christ has already won this war. He's already, we stand, we should stand in victory. He has already won this war. Has he come back to claim victory yet? No, but he's coming. He's coming. He has won the war. He needs coming. You know, we need to stand in victory every single day of the week, unafraid, unshaken, unstoppable in the glorious name of Jesus Christ. And that should be our battle cry in the name of Jesus Christ. You know what I'm saying? Because see, hell gets mad because of Christ gave us that authority. He's given us his authority. And hell's mad about that. Hell gets mad because of Christ's victory on the cross. Hell is mad because we spread the word. Hell is mad because you pray for your neighbors. I mean, they're mad at us. We've all been in battle. I'm sure we've all we have been in spiritual battle. I have myself anyway. Period. Spiritual, uh, it's not got mentally yet, but I'm telling you what, it's not far from it. But I know who I have victory in. My victory is in Jesus Christ and in that name. Because there's so many ways we can cry, we can have our battle cry. God has this, God's got this. That's a battle cry. The Lord fights for me. Uh Jesus loves me. Not today, Satan is one of my favorite ones. Not today, Satan. That's a battle cry right there, people. You know, I'm not alone. It's a battle cry. And ladies, ladies, we are fearfully and wonderfully made. That's a battle cry for all of us. And one of my favorites that I need to work with, fear is a liar. That's my that is my battle cry right there because I'm talking to me. I have a I have a problem with fear. I was a fearful child and I have taken it right on into my adulthood because he battles me sometimes right in my own house, in my own home, sitting in my own recliner, the enemy battles me with fear. My all of my walls and all of my windows in my house and my doors has been anointed with holy oil in the name of Jesus Christ. So he's not in my house, he's in my thoughts. He gets in my head. And he tries his best to tell me these things, and and and this is gonna happen, and that's gonna happen. Sometimes he'll have me up looking for a blood pressure cuff. You're gonna have a heart attack tonight, and you're gonna I mean, just anything he could put on my head uh and in my in my thoughts, he does. It I have a battle with him sometimes. And there's times that I'm scared to go to sleep. There's times I have a friend of mine, uh Sister Jen Hicks, sometimes we talk on the phone till three and four o'clock in the morning because I don't want to be by myself. And we talk about the Lord, and you know, we always got some good conversations about the Lord, but you know, I should rely on a higher power because he gave me that victory. So I'm not only talking to you today, people, I'm preaching to me too. You know, but what it is is our we have a war cry that hell cannot ignore. And that war cry is I rebuke you, Satan, in the name of Jesus Christ. The Bible says that he will flee from us if we use that name. And so we have to we have to declare it. I'm not a victim, I'm a warrior, I'm a warrior of the whole mighty king of kings and the Lord of Lords. And we should, we should declare every enemy, every fear, every lie, every shame, every spiritual attack that's trying to tear us down, we should declare it behind us in the name of Jesus Christ. By the blood of Jesus. I mean, there's so many ways, man, that we can we can we can command him to get out of us, out of our mind, out of our home, out of our body, out of our calling. Friends, we need to put him out of our calling today because we are sitting by, like I said, me too. We are sitting by and we are letting him tell us when to come and go, when to pray. I mean, friends, we got to use our power that Jesus Christ gave us. He gave us that power, he gave us the anointing. He gave us that. And we need to be hollering and screaming, I'm covered and protected, and praise the Lord, I am anointed by the fire of God. He gave us that. We need to tell the devil no curse or or nothing, no curse is gonna cling to us, no chain's gonna hold us, and no darkness will remain because we are covered. We have that authority, people. Because why? Why do we have that? Because greater is he that is in us than he who is in the world. Amen. Amen. I mean, friends, listen to me. We can make hell tremble when we pray, right? When when we pray, because prayer is not work, prayer is warfare, my friends. And when we pray, when believers pray and meet meet Jesus at the foot of the cross, chains break, doors open, hearts change. When we pray for the sinners in our family, hearts change, strongholds fall. And you know, even the slightest prayer, the slightest little prayers, can shake spiritual realms. See, hell also trembles, friends, when we know who we are in Christ. And there comes a time, friends, there comes a time when the believers of Christ need to stop sitting by quietly and start getting up and shouting boldly, and that time is now. The time is now to get up off of your seats. I'm talking to me too. Shut your phones, open your doors, uh, pray for your neighbors, pray for your family, pray for your friends, shut your TVs off and get into the Word of God and get up and shout boldly. I'm a child of the king. Right? I'm a child of the king. We have to stand up and we have to make hell tremble, and now is the time. Today is the time, people. Hell don't tremble when we sit back on our front porch and complain that, well, my head's hurting and I'm woe is me. Hell don't care what how you how much you complain, they don't care. Hell don't tremble when we stay silent. Hell trembles when God's people pray, when we believe, when we speak the truth, and praise the Lord, friends, when we walk in the authority that Jesus Christ has given us, hell trembles. Hell trembles when believers understand their authority in Christ and we use it because he gave it to us. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. We're not called just to survive the battle. It's a battle. I wouldn't tell anybody right now that that living a Christian life is easy because it ain't. It's a battle. Every day, it's a battle. See, we have a bigger battle because he's he's the enemy's trying to get us. He don't battle other people because he's already got them. He don't care about it. I already got you, man. It's us he battles. It's a battle every day. And we're not called just to survive the battle. We are called to stand in the victory that Jesus Christ gave us. Amen. When we pray, friends, listen to me. When we pray, we can make the walls and the gates of hell tremble. James 5 and 16 says, the effectual, freverent, freverent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. You know what that tells me? That tells me that I need to be crying out to the Lord. Effectual, freverent prayer. And probably even said that wrong. That's what we need right now. We need effectual, freverent prayer. We need to stop this. And I'm not talking about now I lay me down to sleep. I'm not talking about God is great, God is good. Those are nice little prayers. I learned them all when I was little, you know. I'm talking about meeting the Lord Jesus Christ at the foot of his cross, getting on our hands and knees, or getting somewhere, bow our head in real, real spiritual prayer and meeting with the Lord. You know what? Even, you know, prayer, like I said, prayer is not it's not work, it's not weak. We shouldn't we be weak in our prayers because, like I said, it's warfare, people. It's warfare. And we need to learn that we need to do these effectual, fervent prayers. We need to cry out to God. We need to get on our knees, or or go sit in our our car, or go sit in our garage, or go sit outside under a tree, or go walk by the river, whatever we need to do, because even a quiet believer on their knees can shake the gates of darkness. You know, you don't have to be screaming. I mean, yeah, we do need to be loud and let the enemy know, but you know, you can just go somewhere, get on your knees, and you can shake the gates of hell by calling out to the Lord. And even every time a child of God prays, heaven listens. Heaven listens. And hell trembles, friends, when we know who we are. When we know who we are. Like I said, Luke 10 19 said he gave us power. So we are powerful. He gave us powerful, he gave us power to tread over the serpents and over the scorpions, and over all of the power of the enemy. You see, friends, he doesn't want us to know who we are in Christ. He he wants us to be in that identity confusion. He doesn't want you to know who you are, he doesn't want you to know whose you are, he does he does not want you to remember what authority you carry. And that's how he gets us, friends. And when you forget all of the things I just said, when you forget who you are and who you belong to and what authority you carry, then you know what? You are no longer walking in victory, and that is exactly where he wants you to be. Because trust me, my friends, listen to me, somebody, listen to this. When you stand and proclaim who you are, that you are a child of the newborn king, that you are a child of God, it changes things. It changes things. You know? It changes a lot of things. For one thing it makes it mad. And when you know who you are in Christ, fear loses its voice on you. And hell trembles when you speak at the name of Jesus. Listen to this. Philippians 2 10 says that at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow of the things in the heaven and things in earth, and things under the earth. Every knee will bow at that name. See, darkness can't darkness can't stand against that name. Every knee will bow of the things in heaven, and the things in earth, and of things under the earth. My friends, no fear, no addiction, no depression, no doubt, not even chains that try to bind you from your past can stand against the name of Jesus Christ. There still is and always will be power in the name of Jesus Christ. And you can trust me on this. Hell remembers that. There's power. There's a song. I love that song. There's power in the name of Jesus Christ. And all we have to do is use that name as our battle cry. That's all we have to do. Because hell gets mad, friends, when we spread the word of God. You know, when you pray for your neighbors, or uh when you uh uh go over and anoint your neighbors and pray for them. Friends, it's time we need to make hell mad because we need to be praying. We need to pray for our brothers and our sisters, our neighbors, our family, our friends. Friends, we need to make hell mad. That's what we need to do. You know? Let's make hell tremble. Let's pray, let's pray, let's pray. Pray the warfare prayers. Let's go to battle. We need to go to battle against the enemy and the darkness, you know, and let's go to battle. And we got Jesus Christ on our side, and when we go to battle and the smoke clears and all is quiet, and you and Jesus Christ emerge from that battlefield, trust me, hell will tremble. You see, God never promised us that there wasn't gonna be storms. He never told us that it was gonna be easy. I said, He didn't. But my friends, when the storm comes, we have to cling to our Savior and we have to praise him in the storm, and we will come through victorious because he is gonna come at you with a storm. We'll stand tall with Jesus, and he will carry all that weight on his shoulders. Friends, I'm telling you, hell laughs at your silence. Hell laughs at your silence. You know, then stand up and shout it. Stand up. Has has hell been putting uh lies in your head, telling you, you know what, you're not nothing, you're not getting nowhere, you're not going nowhere. If if that's the case, then stand up and declare God's truth. That's all you gotta do. Has hell been telling you that, you know what, I think your story is over. Hell is telling you your story is over. Nope, your story ain't over. Then stand up and make hell tremble. Your story is only beginning. Friends, trust me, it's time to pray loudly. It is time to believe more. My friends, it is time to stand on the word of God again. It is time for the people, God's people, to live in a way that makes hell tremble. I seen a t-shirt that said, uh, uh, I want to stand to where when I get up in the mornings that you know, Satan says, Oh Lord, here she comes. And that's exactly how we should be. You know? We need to let the we need to let the enemy hear your prayers. Let the enemy, let the darkness hear your praise. And my friends, for God's sake, let fear hear your faith. You know? You know what I'm saying? Amen. I hope I'm hope I'm you guys are getting this. I I really do. Uh like I said, some of this is going straight to me. My own words are coming right back at me. Uh praise the Lord. And you know, if that's how I need to get it, then that's how I need to get it. But anyway, friends, I'm telling you, we have got to make a stand. We've got to stand up, and we've got to throw our friend, our hands and our arms up to heaven, and we've got to praise the Lord and pray, and we've got to make hell mad. Because when God's people stand up in the authority of Jesus Christ, hell has no choice but to tremble. Amen. He has no choice. You know? Now, you know, you may say, well, you know, does it always have to be loud? Sometimes hell, making hell tremble, maybe it don't have to be loud. Maybe it don't look loud. Maybe it looks like just a quiet prayer whispered through your tears. Or maybe it may look like faith when fear is still knocking at the door, and that's my biggie right there. It may look like getting up one more time when the enemy has tried to knock you down again. See, you don't have to be the strongest voice in the room. You don't have to be the strongest voice in the room. You just have to be willing to trust the one who is. You have to be willing to trust Jesus Christ. You know? Use his name. Friends, that's what he tells us. Use his name. Because you know what, we're all on a road to heaven. And if it feels like we have to walk through hell to get there, well, we do. You know. But here's my here's my decree. Why can we not let's make hell tremble as we walk by? You know, we can bind the demons of hell that's after you, that's after your friends, that's after your children, your grandchildren, your friends, and your family. You can do it with the authority that Jesus Christ gave you. All of us. We need to pray prayers that's going to make hell tremble. With fear. Make it shake, shake the gates of hell. Pray prayers that makes demons nervous when you get up in the morning. You need to pray for your home. Pray for your family and your friends, your communities, your politicians, your police officers, your neighbors. Friends, take a prayer walk through your neighborhood. Ain't nothing wrong with it. You know, go anoint some of the houses, anoint some of the things that you want the Lord to move on. Because, friends, you have the power within you to make hell tremble. You had the power to heal. You had the power to pray for people. You have the power to deliver. So much power that the devil should say, here comes trouble when he sees you coming. You have that power. And right now, the power of the Lord Jesus Christ is working within you. And it's not just to get you to heaven, people. It's that you to give you the help that you can that you can fight the devil with right here on earth. Friends, my friends, today, please let the anointing of Jesus go forth within you. Let that anointing that he gave you, that power, the power that he has gave you, use it. Make hell tremble. See, Satan trembles at the sight of you praying. Satan trembles at the sound of our worship. I mean, even you bow your head and start praying, he may laugh and think you're crying, but you know what? He'll think again when you say amen. Because when you say amen, you've given it to the higher power. You've given it to God. Up above, you've given it to him. Friends, I'm telling you, the prayer that shakes hell comes from faithful, diligent servants. You know, you see that your church family and that your families and your friends and your brothers and sisters in church, you see that all these people need prayer. They need help. Your family, you see your brothers and sisters at home falling and grandkids and grandkids falling deeper into sin. You see that, and this person goes and falls on his knees and cries out to the Lord. You cry out for your family, you cry up for your friends, you cry up for your co-workers, you cry out for the lost and the dying. Because trust me, believers are equipped with spiritual weapons, friends. We are we're we're equipped with weapons, including prayer and scripture. We got the word of God. My friends, the name of Jesus alone is powerful enough to command demons to flee and cause hell to tremble. Amen. Amen. And you need, you should all shake the gates of hell with your praise. You know, and we do that by calling on that name of Jesus Christ. And when you get up every morning, another way to help in your battle is put on the armor of God. Ephesians 6, 10 through 18. I'm not gonna read it. I want you to go read it. But that is for spiritual protection, for strength, and you'll be able to stand your ground. If you use those God-given tools and that authority that is in you, that authority. And when you put on the armor of God, you are telling the devil that he has to go through God to get to you. And when you start calling out your families and your friends' name, you're telling the devil you got to go through God and me to get to my family and friends, my sinners and my brothers and my sisters and all these people. Friends, I just I need you to understand right now. If if if is the devil giving you trouble? Does it feel like he's lurking around every corner because he is? He is. And he's mad. He's mad. And he can't wait to get a hold of you. But what I'm telling you right now is use your God-given strength and use that name. Use the authority that Jesus Christ gave you. And use that name of Jesus Christ. He said all you have to do is use his name, and the devil will flee from you. So right now, I'm gonna wind this up. Right now, wherever you are, friends, listen to me. Somebody listen. Wherever you are, whether you are standing up strong in your faith right now, or whether you're barely hanging on, remember this. Heaven hears you. The Lord will never leave you. And even the smallest step of faith still shakes the kingdom of darkness. So please, please keep praying, keep believing, keep standing, and let's make hell tremble and use that name of Jesus Christ. And I hope this has blessed you as much as it's blessed me to bring it to you. And I'm gonna close with a prayer. Our Father God in heaven, Lord, we thank you for that authority that you have given your children through the name of Jesus Christ. We thank you, Lord, for helping us each and every day that all we have to do is call on your name. Lord, I ask you up above to let these words go to the people, Lord, that need to hear it. Let it go to the hearts and the minds of the believers and the non-believers that needs to hear these words. Lord, we ask you to help us to stand strong when we feel weak. Help us to pray even when we're tired. Help us to believe, even when we feel doubtful. Help us, oh Lord, to use your name. Help us. Bless each and everybody, Lord, up above within my voice that's listened to this. Everybody that's going to hear it. Let them go. Let this, these words, your message, go to the hearts and the minds, Lord, that it needs to go to. So just touch the hearts and the minds, Lord, that it needs to go to. We thank you. We thank you for this message. We thank you, Lord, that we were able to come on today and give the word of God and let people hear it. We praise you, we honor you. We ask you to go with us and lead us in God each and everybody according to your will. In Jesus' holy sweet name we pray. Amen. God bless everybody.
